Was seriously not happy with my experience here. I went to take two watches to get fixed. These watches were my dad’s who just passed away this past week. There was an older man and a woman working when I asked to get links taken out of the one watch and links put into the other watch for my brother. The man was extremely rude to me after I told him that these are my father’s watches who had just passed. The one watch was my father’s Rolex and the man working proceeded to tell me that it was a fake Rolex (because my dad got customized diamonds around the bezel) I then explained that to him And he had nothing to say. I then asked him if he could clean the watches and he proceeded to ask me why they need to be cleaned because they don’t look like they’re dirty when the Rolex most definitely needed to be cleaned. I asked if he could simply just clean them And he said okay. The woman checking me out was not all that nice either. When I went back to pick up the watches I had asked if he could put the Rolex in a box for me and the Rolex was sitting in a plastic bag. I then took it out to make sure it fit my wrist right and the watch and not been cleaned whatsoever. I am really disappointed for how they treated me especially under the circumstances that I so nicely explained to them. I will not be going back here for anything else. I found myself unescorted by the Boss Lady when I was in the area of Linwood Custom Jewelers at last. Since we moved here two years ago I have been trying to get into this shop. Now is my chance, I thought. I’m very happy that I finally made it because while I was “just looking” I saw so many stylish and tasteful things that before I knew it I was asking for these pretty things to be taken out of the case. While still “just looking”, Miss Darlene found a yellow gold and diamond bangle that I knew the Boss Lady would love. Miss Darlene was so nice and so helpful that while we were chatting about the beautiful things she had shown me, I heard myself say, almost involuntarily, “yes, it’s beautiful, I’ll take it.” That was one of the best “just looking” experiences I’ve ever had. The folks at Linwood Custom Jewelers don’t know it yet but I have found my new favorite local jewelers. I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about “just looking” at some very tasteful, very pretty things. The whole experience was more like catching up with an old friend than actually shopping. Unimpressed with staff. Took engagement ring in for resizing and the price we were quoted was apparently quoted as less than it should have been. Staff gave pushback on honoring the price of quote, acting like it was our fault. In addition, when asking to confirm IGI certification of diamond, staff stated they did not have the correct device to magnify the laser engraving, as well as gave pushback on even searching for the engraving. You’re telling me a store that primarily works with diamonds doesn’t have the ability to confirm said diamonds?
