Signed my toddler up for swim lessons... WAS NOT impressed. The teachers spend about 10 min of a 30 min lesson talking to the kids before even starting. Another thing is if a child is scared the teacher will hold that child the entire lesson playing with the child while the rest of the children sit there waiting. There are 2 teachers but if one teacher is distracted & pulled away there is only 1 teacher technically teaching about 6 kids to swim. I understand kids are scared but come on the teachers should pull someone else to help teach the class. Out of 8 days, 2 were practically wasted kids sat on the step waiting to be taught. When i spoke to the "pool manager" she was rude, spoke over me & basically told me "kids don't learn to swim in 8 days" so 2 days wasted is not a big deal. Basically these "swim lessons " are a waste of money they teach your child how to blow bubbles in the water & dunk their head under water. I will not be returning simply because the pool manager & how these...
Read moreI signed my daughter up for swimming because she did absolutely great last year so I assumed she would love to return. After I signed her up, I then came home and told her. I was hoping she would be excited and the opposite happened. She was mortified, she is 11 years old and is in the stage of being embarrassed in her body. She told me she doesn’t want to go because she cannot wear shorts it will slow her down. Plus she just started her period so she’s afraid to be in the water this year. I went back to Litchfield recreation to let them know how she feels and request my money back minus the recreation fee. I was given a form and had to state why I was wanting a refund. I waited over two weeks for a reply. Can you believe I didn’t get any refund at all. Not even an email that states why I was declined. I had high hopes for somewhat of a refund because this recreation center was pretty good with the kids. But now I...
Read moreLove this place we have been going here for years going swimming in the pool and they have tennis courts and basketball courts. So, nice place to take your family to go swimming I've taken my granddaughter at least six or seven times this summer. Anytime we have friends or relatives in we go there as well. The only thing is, it closes in September Labor Day is their last weekend and they don't open up until April. You would think because in September it's still in the hundreds here in the Phoenix area that they might keep the pool open, but they can't, because the kids go back to school the college kids henceforth they have no more lifeguards. I know they could hire people in their 30s 40s or even retired people like myself who were lifeguards many years ago and have their Red Cross certification. Heck I would do it in a...
