Sushi & Poke House — Restaurant in Goodyear

I was out with a friend and really hungry so I just randomly searched a restaurant and saw this place come up. I love Sushi so I was like " I'm going to try this place." I've actually never heard of Poke so when I arrived I asked how it all worked and the staff were all super helpful and explained. I then had to choose my toppings and I wasn't sure what to get so the guy helping me gave me a sample of the Hawaiian tuna. I was blown away. It was SO good!! We also ordered spicy california rolls and the Climax rolls with tempura. They were delicious. I've eaten at some of the best japanese restaurants on the west coast and this place is surprisingly good for such a small unassuming restaurant. I will DEFINITELY be going back even though it's a long drive and way out the way for me to get to. It's totally worth it.

The only bad thing I have to say is that their Thai tea we horrible. Worst Thai tea I've ever had and I've had a lot of Thai tea!! I've been coming to this Poke shop for years, since the last owners who had it, now have a shop in Buckeye called Mom's Poke. The new owners bought years ago and they are amazing. Always heartwarming when I went in and they greeted us with a smile and cheerful emotion. I love what they did to the place over the years in terms of style and decorations. The menu is still great and sushi is some of the best in the surrounding cities. The sushi chef is wonderful to talk to and a delightful addition and the staff is always friendly. A lot of these other low star reviewers over the years sound like they come from people who are not happy in life or with anything for that matter. I would disregard them and try it for yourself. Be open minded and positive in life. I will be coming to this Poke shop for as long as they are in business. If I could give Sushi and Poke House a 6/5, I absolutely would!

I’ve been coming here for years, and every single time, they deliver perfection. Most recently, I ordered the spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and scallops, and each bite was pure bliss. The freshness of the fish is unmatched – you can tell the quality is top-notch. The rice was perfectly warm, balancing out the cold, fresh ingredients beautifully. The sauces and condiments? Absolutely phenomenal, adding the perfect punch of flavor without overwhelming the delicate taste of the fish.

On top of the incredible food, the service is consistently amazing. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and they genuinely care about your dining experience.
