Revised: I am updating an older 3 star review written late last year to add 2 more stars. I have been to the theater 4 additional times since that first review, which was limited in stars due to the unavailability of the menu items on that visit. I am guessing that the theater was still new and had some growing pains when the crowd size was large (it was the first weekend of a Star Wars movie release). Since that visit, there have been no issues with the menu items or food choices. The theater itself is still an incredible experience and the staff is always friendly.
Previous review: I am a Westford resident and could not wait to try this theater. Last night, three of us attended "The Last Jedi" at the 8 PM show. I really do want to be able to give a better review for my first experience here but I honestly have mixed feelings. The theater and seating itself is incredible and we enjoyed the movie experience without a doubt. That part was a 4 or 5 star experience. That said, there are some kinks with the entire food service that should be addressed quickly. We purposely skipped dinner because the web site and promotions for the theater indicate that the movie and food experience goes beyond the usual fare and that there are many food options. We arrived at 7:45,and just prior to the previews I went to order food from the very extensive concession menu. After waiting in the concession queue for less than 10 minutes, I approached one of the ordering stations and asked for a pizza slice and a couple of hot sandwiches. I was told that the kitchen was backed up and no prepared food orders were being taken at the concession stand for the rest of the night (despite the BULK of the menu being prepared food!!!). The parking lot was perhaps 50-60% full and the theater that we were in had a number of empty seats so I can't imagine they were at capacity. Since the premise at the concession stand is food delivered to your seat, I said we were in no rush if things were slow... He politely told me I could go order and eat in the cafe at the front.... at a table... with the movie starting in less than 10 minutes... Ok.... That wasn't an option... So... we had to settle for the usual popcorn and soda experience that I can get at AMC... or Showcase... Remember... we SKIPPED DINNER... Now that I have read some earlier reviews about the food experience, we should have perhaps eaten at a local restaurant BEFORE the show and will for sure next time until this gets better... But... for $15 a ticket and the advertising of a "premium experience"... I did expect more... Not unhappy overall but reserving judgment as to whether this will be our "new" theater instead of other...
   Read moreI love this movie theater but the lounge manager was completely and outterly rude as hell. I walk in there to sit there and eat pizza before my movie because I arrived an hour early. I walked in with no one greeting me or no one directing me on where to sit. Granted this is my first time in the lounge so I donât know how it normally is. Sat there for about 7 minutes before two other women walk in and get asked what drinks they wanted. Got served their drinks before I was even looked at. Mind you I have an anxious hungry 3 year old with me. So I get up look at the host table and grab my own menu and look at it. I see they have full pizzas on the menu so I know I want a full cheese pizza and two drinks. I go back and sit down and I wait. Still nothing. So I glance at the concession and see they have full pizza on the menu with to employees standing there so I figure itâs the same kitchen same food. I go get drinks and order my pizza, cause again I came straight to the movie theater hungry and thirsty. I get my drinks and order done in a minute or under. He says what seat he needs to deliver it too and I say oh no Iâm early so Iâm gunna sit in the lounge and eat it and he said no probelm Iâll make note of it enjoy. I go back and thatâs when the manager of the lounge comes over and asks if Iâd like something. I said no I order at the concession. She then said âwell if you ordered over here I canât have you eat over here.â I said what do you mean isnât it the same food. She said yes but we do different orders then them. I said well Iâm just gunna eat it over here and she says well let me ask to see if thatâs okay. And comes back and says sorry you canât eat it over here but you can eat it outside the restaurant.... so I said um what? Donât you have cheese pizza on your menu too why does it matter if I eat it over here. She said because we are a restaurant. I then said okay and I waited here and no one asked me what I wanted so I asked myself. And she said when I walked out thatâs when she went to see what I needed. I waited almost 15 minutes. Your job is to take care of your customers. I shouldnât of had to wait that long no matter what. She was highly rude and disrespectful and I will not return and tell everyone not to go there. Reached out to the people listed and they did nothing to resolve the issue and refused to simply refund the money even after acknowledging the transaction is fraudulent. Looks like I will gollow up with the better business bureau to make sure they have to answer for their total unprofessionalism and complete customer service failure. Why be fake in your response and provide an email address to contact when the recipients are incompetent and lazy refusing to properly address the issue. Specifically General Manager Chris Fecteau should be replaced immediately for gross incompetence and failure to immediately refund the nominal amount of money. He acknowledges the issue but refuses to tak appropriate action to reverse the fraudulent charge. He even acknowledges the charge came from out of the country but is adamantly and negligently holding my finds hostage still even though HE KNOWS IT IS FRAUD! Beyond immoral, unethical and reprehensible the level of incompetence Chris offers. Heres this waste of skins response:
"What it appears to be is that some entity has stolen your credit card information and was using our website to initiate high velocity transactions to check the information to see if the information works. It also appears that the transaction originated from outside the country. If you haven't already done so already, please file a dispute with your bank on the charge as we won't fight it and the charge will be reversed. I would also recommend cancelling your card if you haven't done so in case other fraudulent charges end up going through. I again apologize for any inconvenience."
These scammers charged my debit card $20 on Sunday November 19th. Only problem is I live in St. Louis! Is this theater full of thiefs and frauds or what? I already had to shut my card down and report the dispute to card services. I would like to upgrade my rating however that requires the contact info for the general manager I would like to speak with and investigate where/who the fraudulent transaction came from. Refunding me for the fraudulent transaction is expected as well.
