First of all If I could rate zero I would. Second, my wife and I walk into their store and yes we were killing time (we were killing time across the parking lot for 30 mins waiting on the notary man to show up) and as we walk in the doors we were greeted kindly by an older woman and asked what brought us in today. My wife replied, we are just killing time and that there was no need to help us, we were just looking. The older woman replied, well you guys are my "up" and we are based off of commission so if you two could walk on over to Panera or some other store I'd appreciate it. (We were both appalled/stunned/speachless) I reiterated that she didn't need to shadow us that we were just looking and she continued to say that we would count as her "up and that the next customers to walk in the door would go to the next person. I wanted it to be clear that she told my wife and I that we could not look around? And she actually said that she would appreciate it. Last thing I said was this was the first and last time I'd walk through their doors. So as we walked back to the car is disbelief of how we were just treated we sat furious silence until I decided to call the store manager. He himself was in disbelief I told him that I was in walking distance of the store and met him outside. He handled the situation perfectly and we are thrilled to begin working with him! I do hope appropriate action was taken with that woman. That is NO way to...
Read moreWe had the best shopping experience ever. Our Sales consultant Joanna Martin and the interior designer were the best. A true asset to Havertyâs. We went to many furniture stores before deciding to give Havertyââs a try. We were looking for accent chairs, side table, ottoman, rugs and dinning room set. We didnât want to go to Havertyâs because we always thought the store was too expensive. When we walked in tonight, Joanna greeted us and left us alone, what a blessing. After about 10-15 min she checked with us and asked if she could help, we told her that we were looking for swivel accent chairs. She showed us all the ones that were on display. She was not pushy and didnât hover over us. We found two accent chairs, a ottoman and the side table. Because she was not aggressive, we continued our search for a dinning room set, again she was not pushy and very knowledge. She asked all the right questions. After we found the right set we said, why not buy two matching rugs. Again she was very knowledgeable and the interior designer joined us to find the perfect match. Both ladies made us feel appreciated and made us feel like family. I would recommend both ladies for getting awards and would like a follow up call or email. These ladies deserve recognition for a job well done. Thank you for not...
Read moreUpdate to what was originally posted. The manager (Angie) called me back and is giving me the floor samples to use until my tables are available. They will be delivered day after tomorrow. She was very sweet and helpful and I appreciate her creative solution to my problem.
On 9/23/19, I bought a variety of tables from the Haverty's at the Forum in Selma, TX. Several of the tables were back-ordered and two were not available until the end of October. In spite of that, I paid for the order in full up front. When I went back to the store on October 17, I inquired about the two tables I'd told would be available on October 28, and was told by a salesperson that the date had been pushed back to November 5. Today, November 6, I called to check when they would be delivered and was told it would be November 27. I found this unacceptable and asked to speak to a manager. Neither manager was available to speak with me. At the time of original purchase, my salesperson told me she would keep me update on order status. I have never been contacted by her about changes in dates. I don't think it is good business to take money up front and then keep pushing back delivery of the product. Not impressed by the business practices...
