Not first time to Thai Spice but will be my last. Tonight we decided to have dinner here the place was not that busy about 7:00pm we were seated immediately. The service from then on was the worst I've had at any local restaurant, I usually like to support local businesses. First we got menus and ordered tea, the waitress you gave us the menus somehow forgot we were sitting there even though she walked passed us several times helping other customers. Now it was getting busy with more customers and not enough wait staff. It took about 15 minutes for the tea to arrive another 20 minutes before I asked a different waitress to take our dinner order. Ordered sushi appetizer which comes with miso soup which my wife never received even after mentioning it to our waitress. After waiting over 20 minutes the food arrived my wife's meal was cold so we sent it back to be re-heated. Still no soup! After finishing our meal I go to the cashier to voice my complaints over the poor service, cold food, and not getting my miso soup. She tells me I should be more understanding because it was busy and they didn't have enough wait staff. You want me to understand... I say take off one to the entree's from my bill for my inconvenience which most restaurants would have done. She says you want me give you free food? By now I'm saying are you kidding me!!!! You want me to be understanding. You mean pay full price for cold food and very poor service. The cashier was one of the owners and she actually insulted me with her statement,so unprofessional. My family won't...

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Thai Spice and Sushi, and our experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for an evening of culinary delights.

The service was impeccable, with a staff that was not only friendly but also attentive to our every need. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations, adding a personal touch to our dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. Every dish we tried was a symphony of flavors that left our taste buds dancing with joy. The Chicken Satay was a highlight for me, perfectly grilled and bursting with Thai spices that created a harmonious blend of savory and slightly sweet notes. The Pineapple Fried Rice was another standout dish that we both thoroughly enjoyed.

The menu offered a diverse range of options, including sushi, which we also indulged in. Each piece was a testament to the chef's skill, with fresh and high-quality ingredients that made every bite a delightful experience.

Overall, our evening at Thai Spice and Sushi was a culinary adventure that exceeded our expectations. The combination of friendly service, delectable dishes, and a welcoming ambiance makes this restaurant a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable Thai and sushi dining experience. We left with full bellies, satisfied palates and smiles on our faces, eager to...

I NEVER write reviews, but today, I am. I have been coming to this restaurant at least once a week for the past year, as it is a favorite for myself and a coworker, and until recently we have been very happy. This review stems from two almost identical incidents that my coworker and I have had over the past two weeks. Today (about 15 mins ago) I picked up an order that was placed for 4 people here at the office. I walked in and was directed to the register where I stood for several minutes as several employees walked by me and none said a word. Two people walked into the restaurant after me and were both promptly served. The second of the two overheard a phone call where I asked my coworkers if they were ok with me leaving and getting lunch elsewhere. The customer apologized as the employee started to walk away until I spoke up. On returning to work, I found that one of the orders (mine) was missing. The coworker who placed the order called and was simply told that she never ordered the item. I did not, personally, hear the restaurants end of the call, but what was conveyed to me was that she was very rude. This is the same thing that happened last week, though we did get the full order that time. It is not about the missing order. I understand that mistakes happen. We are Human. It is the complete lack of concern for the customer and the lack of responsibility that will keep us...

Thai Spice is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hibachi show was incredible — not just dinner, but entertainment! The chef’s energy, skill, and sense of humor kept everyone laughing while serving up perfectly cooked steak, chicken, and shrimp with that signature hibachi flair. Every bite was sizzling hot, packed with flavor, and cooked exactly how we wanted it. What really impressed me was the freshness of the ingredients. The fried rice was buttery and delicious, the veggies were crisp and flavorful, and the portions were more than generous. And don’t even get me started on the sushi— absolutely addictive! Beyond the food, the service was outstanding. Our drinks were never empty, and every detail was taken care of with a smile. You can tell the team here truly cares about making your night special. If you’re looking for amazing hibachi in San Antonio, Thai Spice is the place to go. It’s the perfect spot for family dinners, celebrations, or just treating yourself to something unforgettable. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

Went to Thai Spice & Sushi for lunch today.  It matters not what day of the week,  they offer Luncheon Specials every day.  In fact  20 regular  & 10 Sushi .selections were on the menu.   From the special menu we chose L2 & L5.   All selections  include a soup(Chicken Rice)  & a Spring Roll.  Neither of our two  plates was  really spicey.  Customer selects the  meat item for dish.  Pork on my F2 with skinny noodles.  My wife took chicken with her glass noodles.  A rice also came with her order.  Basic price is $8.00.   Usually drink hot tea with my Asian meal  but decided to try Thai Beer for first time.  The Singha Beer was excellent.   A frosted cold mug was provided to drink beer out of.    Added another $4.00 to bill but worth it.   The staff was friendly & worked together as a team.  When we arrived before noon, the restaurant was practically empty but filled up quickly. Today when I went there around noon, the restaurant was packed. This time did not dine it but took selective carryouts: Appetizer, soup, & dessert.

We went in super hungry. Thats usually good for a extra star. Wait was long and overflow wait area is in what used to be a sushi bar (pictured). Now it's a storage for clutter and storage, yet they still use it for making sushi. Arrived at out seat to a dirty wall with patched holes. Cushions with broken saggy springs. We were sat next to a table full of clutter and cleaner. They also use this table to fill togo orders. To my right was a cashier table that you actually don't pay at. There they keep a vacuum and more random clutter. All of this I will ignore if the food is good. It was not. Average at absolute best. Red curry was not very sweet and odd tart flavor. Beef was tough. Date had Drunken Noodles with chicken. It was better than my dish but not great. Thai food is something we enjoy often. So it was not a cultural issue. Just inferior food. Best part was as we were leaving a guy comes out of the kitchen and asks the lady run into the clutter desk "how long do you MICROWAVE Saki". We will not be back.
