I got my first sewing machine here. They were super helpful then, and have been ever since. They're very encouraging and helpful regardless of the project you're working on. They'll help you find the right tools, the right materials, and even counsel you (within reason -- part of their business is giving classes).

Especially when it comes to machines, I would put them at the top of the list for Cache Valley. They won't sell you a bad machine (i.e. the self-destructing models you find at Wal-Mart), but they'll do their best to get you a machine in your budget. I got a Janome HD-3000 (intermediate level machine) for about $400, which was fair for retail prices, but they threw in a gift certificate and a sewing bag. No complaints!

They also have promotions and clearance sales, which is something that you don't really find at the other specialty shops...

Wow, what a gem! I’d heard good things about this place & just had to check it out for myself. I’m pleased to report that the legends are true! Totally worth the 1 hour drive it was for me to visit this delightful little shop. I knew the moment I walked in I wouldn’t want to leave, and I did end up lingering for quite some time. I called to My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe after investigating locations to find particular fabrics for two quilts that I wished to make . I had a terrific experience. The person whom I spoke with was a me to answer my questions and direct me to their staff member who assisted me to clarify my questions . I have completed two special embroidery projects and am working on a quilt project now. I greatly appreciate that the staff followed up on my questions and were able to facilitate my acquisition of all the templates and specialized embroidery devices that I needed .
