I hate to do this because we have been coming here for about 2 years, but lately she just doesn't seem to like my kids or want to cut their hair. I have tried for two weeks to get hair cut, I tried making an appointment, but could never get through on the phone, even after I left a message I tried calling back and still couldn't get a person. I then tried bringing my kids in, when we got there, I sat there as she ignored me for 15 minutes while she cut a boys hair and spoke to his mother (who was sitting next to me) after she was done with him she walked over to me and told me that she had a family with three kids coming so we could wait but it would be a while, but she wanted to let me know before I "sat down" and "settled in". She then repeated this making me feel she wanted us to leave. Apparently she no longer wants my money, also this same situation happened last time I brought my kids in. It looks like she only makes appointments for her friends, I've also noticed that she ignores a lot of costumers, so we are done, I will not jump through hoops to get my kids haircuts, I will be going somewhere that actually lets us make an appointment and doesn't ignore us. I will say however that Michelle is completely rude. The passive aggressive way she handled my 5 year was uncalled for and her rudeness continued on with me. My little girl quietly got a lollipop. She came over to me because she didn't like it and I told her it was okay to get a different one. She walked over to the basket and Michelle quickly went behind her, didn't say a word to her and snatched the basket away and put it up high on the shelf. My 5 year old looked at me like she was about to cry. Don't work at a kids shop if you don't know how to deal with kids. Let me preface this by also saying the shop was pretty much empty with just one other client in there getting a hair cut. I was sitting in one of the Little chairs right next to where my 2 year old was getting cut. She very rudely said I need that chair. Not excuse me or do you mind not even a thanks when I got up. Customer service has been lost with Michelle. Wouldn't ever pay her to cut...
Read moreMelissa is the owner and I believe sole stylist. We’ve been twice, all since COVID-19. She does a fabulous cut on my wiggly 16m old son in under 10 minutes for $15 cash. I’ve tried to make appointments, but never been successful at getting her on the phone. We’ve walked in every time and never waited more than 5 minutes.
Regarding COVID precautions. No temperature checks. She did sanitize the seat before he got in, but the car seats are grimy with years of hair and product. While she did wear a mask, it was always below her nose, and she pulled it away from her face to talk. I get that the masks do impede vision. Overall, given the COVID-19 climate, I’d say it’s a riskier salon in that minimal precautions are in place.
