I went in to support a local Lombard business however I can say you should not patronize this one. Posted price for Evan Williams honey whiskey was $14.99. The clerk tried to charge $17.99 and I caught it at the register at which point he immediately started arguing that I was mistaken and that price was for another whiskey. He then continued to refuse to honor the price even after coming over to pull the $14.99 shelf labels and said he didn't need to honor it or need my business, pointing to some sign on the wall behind the counter (Apparently a disclaimer that they can charge randomly at the register). Frankly at this point he just didn't want to admit he was in error and it was clear he would not honor the price. He actually said he didn't like the way I asked him to honor it. Not sure what I said but at this point I was just being factual pointing out the signage for that specific 750ml bottle, but that was the boiling point. So, here is the promised negative review over a $3 dispute. There are plenty of other honest businesses in the area to buy a bottle of booze from. I generally write positive reviews but this was one of those few surreal moments where you're stunned that a business felt they didn't need to apply standard practice and that $3 was worth losing a customer and gaining a well deserved negative review. I'm a professional in my 50's and this is the first time in my life I've been told to take my...
Read moreThis place is horrible! I ordered through drizzly and they sent the wrong item. I called the store and the manager blamed the driver and was argumentative and very rude! Knowing he was closing in 5 minutes he said "have the driver bring it back, I am closing in 5 minutes." How is a driver 15 minutes away going to make it?! I will never order nor will I ever buy from this place again! If I were you I...
Read moreNo masks worn by employees or clients! I'm a big supporter of small businesses, but when I stopped in, the woman behind the counter had no mask in sight anywhere. The client she was helping was wearing his mask down around his neck. I refuse to support businesses that don't take the health of their employees and customers seriously. I won't be shopping there again. The small convenience is not...
