NachoRita — Restaurant in Lombard

I like this place a lot, and if I had more money, I'd come at least once a week. Their carnitas and their chicken are my favorite proteins (I've tried them all). I love their different offerings (they have monthly flavors of margaritas!), and I have especially been into their Lil' Quesadilla Wraps these days. Yes, there are similarities between this place and Chipotle. But, take it from someone who actually worked at a Chipotle - it looks like the owners here care for their staff's safety in dealing with heating apparatuses and don't try to rush them. I'd much rather come here than support a chain, too. I hope this place will continue to be around for a long time. If I could, I would wish for a "meal" option like you sometimes see at Mexican restaurants (e.g. taco platter with 2 or 3 tacos plus rice and beans, all on one plate). I would also just about lose my mind if they made some kind of Crunchwrap/RitaWrap creation. Can't say enough good things about this place - their food is consistent and...

The limeade was great! It was sweet enough while still tart and refreshing. The reason for the two stars is mainly the tacos, I did not pick up my order late and the tortillas were cold and also wet from the excess of the juice of the meat. It was only eatable by picking out the meat and veggies. It took 5 minutes from the moment I picked up the order to it being eaten that this happened. The nachos were good it just looked as if everything was thrown on top with no care for presentation. I would’ve came back for a refund but the woman working seemed in a rush because it looked as if she was making the food for customers there and for pickup and being cashier. I am also in the same industry so I can understand the short staffing and when customers are being difficult but you also have to maintain the quality...

First off, I really like this place and will definitely continue to frequent this restaurant. That said, two of my very recent online orders have not been what I ordered. One time I got the salsa verde smothered all over my nachos and I did not like it at all and tried my best to scrape it off. Needless to say, that didn't go well and I was pretty disappointed. Today's order should have had queso (that I paid extra for) and it did not. Again, very disappointed. I'm pretty sure if I had ordered these in the restaurant, these mistakes would not have happened. I just wish the order assemblers would really pay attention to what's on the order. I might have to stop ordering ahead and just order in the shop to make sure I'm getting what I want...
