Lilac Station — Local services in Lombard

Lilac Station is a beautifully designed, well-maintained, and well-run apartment community. The management staff makes or breaks a community. Everyone from the manager and assistant manager, Autumn & Barbara, to the maintenance staff, is super professional and keeps the building clean and follows up with residents extremely fast. The management staff is always open to chatting and very welcoming; I never feel like I'm a bother when I go in to ask a question. I went on vacation for 3 weeks and they even watered my plants while I was away! The resident app is convenient to reserve an amenity space, like a conference room, without having to send emails back and forth to the office staff. The relaxation room and yoga room are my favorite along with the onsite dog park, so those late night dog outings are very safe and convenient. The units are designed with small details like built in storage in the bath/shower area, to room darkening shades, that make a big difference in apartment living. The apartments have modern finishes that feel very upscale instead of your standard "cookie cutter" decor which can feel institutional. I vehemently Do NOT recommend applying here. I have close to perfect credit and their 3rd party credit review company says I have “serious delinquency” but can’t even tell me what they think is wrong even with appeal. Leasing office was incredibly unhelpful in fixing the issue. When I toured I actually thought they cared about their residents and assumed they would be helpful, which they were until I applied. I want my $370 back because whatever algorithm or software they use is flawed. I’ve never had issues with being approved for anything and now all of a sudden I am? I can be approved for a mortgage but not this apartment? (I don’t want to buy a house yet.) and 3 other apartments I applied for… I’ll stay where I am. At this point I wouldn’t live here just based on this poor application process and “we can’t do anything” attitude after the application and money was submitted. Zero stars. If anyone wants a good quality management company, look at The450 in Lombard, more space, more storage, indoor parking comes with huge storage units. I have been living here for two months now. My apartment is on the smaller side but it is cozy and fits me perfectly. I absolutely love the garage and my front load washer and dryer. The leasing team is very friendly, communicative, and helpful and the amenity deck they have is very relaxing and fun. Not to mention that the place is kept super clean and the common areas smell very good. Only issue is that it is A little noisy at times during the day but that is due to the location of my apartment, nothing a pair if good noise cancelling headphones cannot fix.
