I think potential customers should do their due diligence when choosing this salon and make sure they can give you what you want. Be careful if you want a fashion color because I was not very happy with my results. I don't doubt that a lot of people have had wonderful experiences here or great results with the stylist that did my hair. Maybe this salon doesn't have experience with this type of color or just doesn't specialize in it. I wish they would have told me that before the appointment or told me what I wanted couldn't be achieved/what they could achieve with my hair.
I wanted to dye my hair blue for quite a while but was pretty nervous about it. I saw an ad on facebook for this salon so I decided to message the stylist for more info. this place is right down the street from where I live. She was enthusiastic about the inspiration pics I sent and said she could do it for a reasonable price so I decided to book it.
When she bleached my hair, she divided the hair into 4 separate sections which seemed pretty standard. She foiled my whole head bottom to top starting at the back left section, then back right and finally the front parts. This means the back parts would be processing for a lot longer than the front parts unless the back was washed off before the front. But my whole head was washed off at the same time. I thought it was kinda off at the time but kept it to myself thinking they knew what they were doing. Flash forward a few days later and I see a DEFINITE color difference between the front and back of my head. The front looks more teal and not as vibrant blue as the back. You can actually see a line in my hair where the front and back where sectioned off.
I would have said something right away before I left the salon if I noticed but I did the next best thing and called the salon letting them know I was kinda upset about this. It seemed like they were more or less blaming me for the problem saying I either washed my hair too soon after the appointment or the dye just didn't deposit onto the front of my hair as well as the back for unknown reasons. I thought the issue was pretty obvious....the back lightened more than the front so the color deposited and looked more vibrant of the back of my head. I ended up going back a week after my initial appointment and they tried just adding more dye to my hair. After that appointment I didn't wash my hair for more than 72 hours as they suggested but I was still left with the same problem. I do realize this is semi-permanent dye btw and I can accept fading with washing. The problem is the back and front of my head are different colors! I wish they would have just owned up to their mistake but it didn't seem like they would. I'm just not going to return to this place.
In the end it is just hair and its definitely not the end of the world. I just can't help being disappointed with my results. Just wanna warn people if they're going to be spending a lot of money on their hair. There are tons of hair salons in the area. Make sure to do your research and pick one that has a lot of experience in what you're looking for and will do it right. Attached is the look I was going for and what my...
Read moreI was so excited to get my first real curly haircut at this salon but my experience was far from even ok. It was about 6 years ago and still can't forget about it. It actually stopped me from trying curl cut again. I don't remember the name of my stylist( she took me to the room upstairs) but she worked on my hair like it was her punishment. She didn't want to answer any of my question for any tips how to style - she told me- " you can figure it out on your own" ! I think curly cut is so expensive because hairdresser should also help you find the right style technique for your curl type( at least that's what i have heard before booking this appointment). Anyways, leaving the salon my hair looked bad( I thought it will be better than I have ever styled it on my own). I still had hopes at least for a good haircut , but after washing my hair at home and styling my way -hair looked awful! Very uneven layers. I called the salon right away about it and they were nice enough to say if I don't like it they will fixed for me- but they wanted to give me the same lady and I didn't wanted her . I just didn't trust her and as you can imagine I also was scared what damage she might do to my hair after me complaining about her job. Sadly , they didn't want to give me someone else- so I waste all that big money for a awful haircut...
Read moreI’ve been to Adored Salon several times and have absolutely loved the experience every time. I have naturally wavy/curly hair that I’ve straightened daily for as long as I can remember bc when I attempt to style it curly it ends up looking frizzy and dry. I was intrigued by testimonials about how Adored specializes in curly hair so I made an appointment. My hair-stylist was Alyssa Wolff and I felt like she created magic. She brought out more natural curl than I knew I had and styled my hair beautifully without it looking frizzy or dry… better yet, it lasted for several days!!!! And I received sooo many compliments after the styling. Alyssa was incredibly patient with me and walked me through each step. She truly cares about her clients and wanted me to succeed with the process at home too. I’m nowhere near as talented as she is, but I’ve had success at home using products she recommended. I’ve been back to Alyssa for a coloring, more styling and a specialized “ouidad” cut designed for curly hair and each time I’ve been very impressed. The salon and it’s staff are all very inviting too. Please check out Adored Salon and specifically ask for Alyssa. You will not be...
