Horrible non existent customer service. First of all, this store is listed as opening at 12pm, I called several times to make sure they were in fact open because I know how Desi's operate. No one answered any of my calls, must have called at least 4 times. Atlas, I was in the area anyway so decided to stop by and lo and behold, they were open! Evidently the shop owner cannot be bothered with answering the phone. Shop owner here is some rude hijabi aunty who literally will not open her mouth to even mutter the words "hello" to you. SUPER RUDE. She awkwardly stares at you while you're clearly looking and offers 0 help. It's like she doesn't want you to shop there? Maybe she judged us because we weren't hijabi, but I definitely judged her because she seems like a rude person/human being. When we left the store too, she could not even say have a nice day? I don't understand why Desi people (specifically rude aunties) make it seem like they're doing you a favor my letting you into their store. Basic customer service skills should be common sense when you own a shop, especially in America.
We didn't end up buying anything because to be honest, I recognized most of her dresses from Taburruj in Devon when I went there 6 years ago. She definitely sells outdated outfits bought from Devon stores that they didn't sell. Might as well order online or just go to Devon or elsewhere.
No one else was in her store when we went and no one else came in after we left....
Read moreFor some reason the woman working there is rude and doesnt know how to speak with a costumer. When you show as if you are a perfect muslim, you should also know how to respect people and be nice. I came from another state especially to this shop when someone mentioned it to me. I also told this lady that I am coming from another state to her shop but she was still the same no respect no manners whatsoever. I dint feel like buying anything from her store ! And its not like she has any great stuff , just her lame attitude! You should first learn how to speak with people, thats also a part of our religion. Not just showing that you are muslim by...
Read moreWe stopped here this afternoon for ethnic outfits for our girls. The store recently went through major renovation. Its a chic boutique now. We bought a very fancy outfit at a great price. We are long time customers for their other store, Taj Saree Palace (on Devon Ave.) and Chunri embraced us with the same service we expect at Taj. The sleeves had to be attached to the outfit and the lady offered to do it for an...
