Ordered 2 biryani(1 Chicken Biryani and a veg Biryani for my wife) ...Both turn out to be disaster!!!
If you're looking for a biryani that's high on quantity but absolutely zero on quality, this is it. The taste was so off, even IRCTC biryani (yes, the one from Indian trains in India available for Rs. 120!) OR plane fried rice with a pinch of cumin & pepper is better and tastier by miles. I still can't figure out what biryani masala they used to ruin this dish!!!âitâs a disgrace to the name of biryani.
Adding photos for reference... oh wait, I didnât have any because I had to throw it away! It was that bad.
And to those leaving good reviews, clearly, they have no idea what real biryani should taste like.
For reference, try Deccan Spiceâyouâll finally understand!
Adding.. Instead of trying to improve the food taste from the feedback and review of customers, belittling and commenting on review won't help in long run!! Trust me. Have a look at your overall reviews out of 560+ that you have as of now.
I'm sorry if it hurt. I know it was scathing!! But you can't take my right to comment & review as I spent $40 approx so had some expectations.
And yes, that IRCTC Biryani comparison was just for reference and metaphor! Moreover, if you are from our India, you'd have travelled in train for at least once in a lifetime and would have tasted it too, unless you're a RajaBabu. Being in Lisle since a couple of yrs. You don't know me, I knew your food taste!
Improve your taste work upon this, I'll compare it to real 'Hydrabadi Biryani' đđ

Read moreThis was an interesting looking restaurant near a stop I made, so I thought I'd try it.
The place is basic, though does sport a chandelier in the middle of the restaurant. You order at a counter, and the food is brought to your table. The menu is fairly broad, with a good variety of both meat and vegetarian dishes. Beverages are basic soda from a cooler and several tea or Lassi options. I just took a can from the cooler, so can't speak to their other beverages.
For my meal I chose the Chicken Quorma and a side of Tandoori Naan. The dish was a good portion, and came out hot. The flavors were excellent, with a rich aromatic spice, and chicken prepared with the bones in. Some places will take the bones out for us Europeans, but the food has a better flavor this way. The Naan was excellent and fresh. Still almost too hot, which is the best way to have it.
Service was a little detached (lose one star, here) and slow. While trying to place my order, the guy was taking other phone calls - some for phone orders, but others seemed to be just social.
Overall, a great restaurant to come for some authentic Hyderabadi Indian food. I'll be back, possibly placing my order...
Read moreWe had a terrible experience concerning the customer service and food at this place on 10/31. We walked into the place at 10:35 PM and ordered dinner for 5 of us. The guy at the counter was already mocking our language! We were billed without being asked whether it was dine-in or take-away order (we assume it to be dine-in by default). 10 minutes later, the guy comes out with food packed for take-away. When we asked about why he packed the food even when the place is open till 11 PM (15 minutes left to closing), he says "sorry brother we are closing". To this guy - DO NOT assume that everyone is dumb like you so you can take advantage of them. At least have the courtesy of asking/informing the customers. We were already suspicious of this behavior and knew there could be something wrong with the food since he tricked us into buying it and take it home, which turned out to be true. The food was pathetic with both Chicken Biryani and Mutton Biryani lacking any flavor or taste, even though the quantity was ok. The meat was undercooked and rice was cold. Conclusion - Do not visit this place unless you want to waste your hard earned...
