AMLI RidgeGate — Local services in Lone Tree

Update July 2019: I'm approaching two years at AMLI RidgeGate and I'm still very happy to be here. I hope to stay for the foreseeable future and plan to renew my lease this year. The maintenance team - Randy and Alan especially - are by far the best maintenance team I've had in 10 years of apartment living. I've never waited more than 24 hours (if even that) for service after submitting an online request. The apartment I live in has a beautiful view of the mountains and also means I don't overlook any of the common areas; with the location and the how solid the apartments are built, I have almost no problems with noise. Everything else in my original review stands.

The only unfortunate aspects :

1. There is a LOT of office turnover (thankfully the maintenance team is very stable). However, this is quite common among apartment complexes; I only wish the staff had better records of previous concerns from long-term residents so I don't feel like I'm starting over when I have continuing concerns.

2. There are three very dangerous dogs in the building that years of complaints from various residents have yet to resolve. Death or serious injury to another dog is almost inevitable at this point, and two of them try to attack people too.

3. There has been an influx this year of very loud young children who run and scream in the hallways. I wish AMLI would remind parents that hallways are not playgrounds.

4. I would like to see mirrors and a speed limit in the parking garage. I would also like a mirror to be able to see the sidewalk at the exit of the garage, as I'm always afraid of hitting pedestrians it is impossible to see.

My only other minor concern is that regardless of how often AMLI cleans the hallways carpets (and they have them professionally cleaned VERY often, to the detriment of my ability to breath during those weeks) they carpets are permanently stained in many places and really should be replaced with a less obnoxious pattern that is darker and can more easily hide stains.

January 2018: I moved into AMLI RidgeGate almost 2 months ago from a nearby property and am so glad I did. On the tour, you will notice right away that the amenities are gorgeous and they are. The property is very well-maintained, outside and inside.

My biggest issues with previous properties have been noise from neighbors and noise from community areas - neither are a problem here. I've lived in a lot of apartments over the past decade and I'd say this one is the most solidly built property I've lived in. I never hear my neighbors, and the street noise (I live on the Park Meadows Drive side) is negligible.

This interior of my apartment also feels more like a home than previous apartments; little touches like sinks mounted under the counter, under counter lights, plush carpet all go a long way to making this feel more like I'm living in a home rather than a rented space.

The maintenance here is fantastic. I had an issue with a weird smell coming from my plumbing and Alan was out within 24 hours to fix it. Both of the main maintenance workers are so friendly and always greet me and my dog. I was also able to enjoy the hot tub on the coldest day of the year - a real testament to their hard work maintaining the property.

My only minor issues are that the hallway carpets definitely could use a deep cleaning or some replacement (and I don't love the pattern) and - as with every apartment I've ever lived in - I wish pet owners were better about cleaning up their dogs' poop. But the property seems to be very vigilant about picking up poop since the pet owners aren't. There is also a dog on the 4th floor that body slams into his own apartment door from the inside and terrifies just about everyone...

We've lived at AMLI for 2 years and just renewed for our third year! The community is great and all the people I've interacted with have been friendly. I really appreciate that AMLI allows and encourages residents to make their apartments into their homes.

The amenities are well-maintained and the community is proactive with notifications about repairs and closures. While the amenities were closed in compliance with government guidelines earlier this year, (why risk getting sick!) the community coordinated for food trucks to come weekly to the community, which was a nice change of pace being stuck at home!

Anne Marie is always friendly and accommodating. Ben is also great to work with! We had some issues with a plumbing leak in July and Randy kept us informed while Ben ensured we were inconvenienced as little as possible. Because they had to pull apart our bathroom, Ben had a suite reserved for us and our dogs in the hotel next door, while Randy kept us on the loop on the job progress and even introduced us the the workers that were in our unit doing the repairs! Ben even took care of the upgraded WiFi at the hotel so my husband could continue to work safely from home!

The maintenance team is indescribably amazing! Randy, Alan, Tracy, Robby and Mindy(?) keep the grounds clean inside and out, and they are all are so quick to reply to service requests. I never see one of these team-members without a full hustle going! I never feel like I'm being unreasonable when asking for something to be addressed, and the team takes pride in maintaining the community and apartments with a level of care that is admirable. They are also excellent at educating us about our home and it's features to ensure we get the best use! (Alan had conducted thermostat training in our apartment on multiple occasions)

Also a special shout out to Colin, (maybe Connor?) The weekend nights security guard. He's friendly, somehow everywhere at once, and takes a direct approach to addressing issues when they crop up.

I only have a couple points of feedback, and both items that may be difficult for the local office to control.

First, there are some irresponsible pet owners who do not clean up after their animals. This is an uphill battle, no matter where you live. I think the community could benefit from using the DNA testing clause from the lease, and build a database so pet owners can be held accountable. (Some other apartments require a sample be submitted at move -in. Alternatively, having a pet waste removal team come by every other day or so to comb through the landscaping for these "presents" left by the furry tenants could help. It's too big a job for maintenance, who already work so hard. Even with The pet waste challenges they routinely rinse 3 down and sanitize the dog run area then accidents are too messy for pet owners to clean completely.

Secondly, (and this is super minor) but it seems like nights and weekends the local staff doesn't have access to the email system, so when the community needs to be updated, the team can't always notify the community in a timely manner.

We love living here....

Update:the food trucks and community events are amazing and brilliant!! This has been the best most loyal management and leasing agents I’ve ever had the privilege to work with, this is my home and I am so so very happy with management you will love the connections and the loyalty they have to us residents we even get Easter and Valentine’s Day hunts, community BBQs it’s really wonderful here and I’m proud to call this place my home 🥰 and I have to say Eric from maintenance has to be the most thorough and kindest I’ve ever worked with, everytime I had anything from a question to the waterworks he has been so punctual and knowledgeable, he has been literally the best man I’ve ever worked with for any issues, he’s on top of it and thorough and just the kindest man, he doesn’t make me feel silly for my questions either, he is amazing, you can trust him with anything :) I have lived here in this building in going on three different apartments- to accommodate my adult kids moving in an out- since 2015 and I absolutely love it here. The management and staff Jordan, Mary, Bri, Casey, are so involved with our small community and such a joy to interact with they are my favorite by far! The maintenance staff ERIC- Louis- Manuel- Carmelo are all excellent so professional and kind and wonderful, everything I’ve ever needed help with or fixed they move fast and are so kind and very informed they are amazing at their job they always go above and beyond in all my experience with them and they are fast and thorough:) you will love our community as much as I have if you move here wanting just that, community and friendships, the gatherings and parties we will have it’s absolutely wonderful and I hope to live here until my kids finally surrender me to a nursing home 🤣 and big big shout out to Jordan Mary Casey Bri Eric Carmelo Manuel Louis you are all amazing and such a perfect wonderful team here you make living here that much more special 🥰 We get the food trucks a few times a month, Easter hunts valentines hunts - our community is so interactive and friendly, I absolutely love my neighbors- we have a cocktail fun here at the pool or or game room, it’s just- this community here is ideal and I’ve been here since 2015 because it’s my Home. And I absolutely love it here, even our mailman here is awesome. We are an AMLI Family as corny as it sounds and I love it and if you want this type of community- you will love it as much as I do, I mean look at Our Facebook and Instagram lol you will love Jordan and Mary they are so funny and creative with their posts lol I love it - I think you will love it here too and say hi to me if you see me my name...
