My family and friends love this store and have supported Beached since relocating to Schooner a couple of years ago.
Today, I saw an item posted by the owner on his FB page and stopped by to see it in person. It was a little pricier than anticipated, so took a picture to ask my husband if I could splurge on it for my birthday. The owner yelled at me and told me there’s no photos allowed. I explained that I was just sending to my husband to see if he was okay with the purchase. The owner snapped that I needed to ask for his permission first. I totally understand that some shops do not allow photography, but there is something to be said about the delivery in the message and a little human kindness. He continued his snarkiness with my elderly mother as we left, which I felt was unnecessary. We are all stressed during these troubling times and will chalk this incident up to him having a bad day.

Read moreI have shopped at this store multiple times every summer that it has been open - they lost a longtime customer recently. The owner has never been nice and warm. I was walking through Bay Village over the fourth of July and popped in. I am getting married soon and they had a lot of things I wanted to use for my wedding.
The store was empty except for the owner. I texted the people I was with to let them know where I was so they could join and spend their money. The owner yelled at me and said I could not take any pictures or video in the store. I told him I was not taking pictures or video - just telling people where I was so they could join. Read moreI love this shop! The people are so friendly and helpful, and they have such a tasteful and unique assortment of beach inspired home goods. While their original location in Bay Village was fun, shopping in a ship, the smaller new location is easier to shop. It is more intimate, and allows you to enjoy the artistry of the items they sell, rather than be distract by the location. It is better to be know for what you sell than where you sell.
