Whittingham Coffee House — Restaurant in Long Beach Township

Look no further for the absolute best shop for coffee on the island. Whittingham has brought an exceptional product and level for care and customer service that is not easily replicated. My mom and I went there every single day for our first time lbi retreat and loved the ample space and attention to detail without being overwhelmed and keeping an open vibe while being nonstop busy and having a line each time we went. No easy feat in itself to create a homey vibe, at moments I forgot I was at the beach! I enjoyed seeing the steady flow of customers and how quickly everyone was served while I was just kickin back in prime time air conditioning, truly is a great spot to do some work or be creative and may just bring a computer down with me on purpose to produce some music on my next trip! All that being said and I haven’t even touched on the quality coffee that touched my lips, if you’re a coffee person and have not had Devoción coffee you are doing yourself a disservice by not indulging in what Alex and Megan have going on at Whittingham Coffee house! I’ve had this coffee in one of their Manhattan location and the experience stayed with me years later and I have to say that it was not only that same experience but dare I say better?! Our favorite things were the Iced Black and White Cookie latte, hot golden hour latte and they actually had a new strawberry matcha that I got to try that was mind blowing considering I dislike matcha but my absolute bucket list item was the nitro cold brew, as I’m writing this I’m actually mad that I don’t have one in hand but will make next years trip back even more exciting. Oh my mom really liked the maple muffin and coffee roll too and they were fresh made that day too! Staff there is attentive and pleasant and continuously cleaning or helping or stocking and I love seeing that! The parking situation here is amazing especially if you have multiple cars and it’s literally what two blocks away from bay village? Talk about having such a prime location it’s perfectly in the middle of the island. Can’t really ask for a better way to start your day or end your afternoon. True ambassadors of the brand, culture, knowledge of product and customer service, we felt like we made new friends this summer at Whittingham...

The coffee here is truly the best local coffee I’ve ever had at any small town coffee shop. It’s very evident that the owners took care when selecting their coffee supplier, blend and any extra ingredients.

I tried many things but my favorites were their iced matcha, which was slightly sweetened with their vanilla syrup and their Golden Hour latte. The Golden Hour is their hottest seller and I can see why. The flavor and mouth feel, it leaves with you is so fun!

Megan & Alex make your coffee experience more than a “morning coffee” routine. They greet you as family and send you into the world with a little touch of their love ultimately starting your day off better.

If I could give Whittingham Coffee House more than 5 stars I would. Absolutely amazing! First off, the owners are so warm and inviting and it perfectly reflects the ambience of the coffee house. You can tell they put their love into every conversation, and every coffee they make. I've been trying out different coffee shops on the island all week but I never ended up genuinely enjoying or even finishing the coffee. Now I'm trying not to chug the whole thing in 5 seconds!
