A friend of mine brought me here. I've never even heard of it but the first thing I thought when I saw it was how cute it was. We went here for a burger but when I saw the groceries, I was very surprised. It's small but cute and organized on the inside. They had all of the best flavors of Ben and Jerry's ice creams and they even had cat food. It's really a tiny little grocery store. I'm an avid reader so when I saw the little book area, I went and asked my friend if it was legit to take a book. She laughed and said yes. I went searching and apparently you can take a book or bring one...or both. I know next time to bring some books that I no longer want to read. Now when it came to the actual burger, i was amazed. It smelled so good, I forgot to take a picture. I had to taste it. It was a cheeseburger and I had pepperjack cheese on mine. The meat was a thick juicy thing of beef. It wasnt very seasoned, but they made up for it with fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion and lots of mustard and mayo. I will be coming here again when...
Read moreI went here because it popped up on my feed as the best breakfast burrito in Long Beach so figured I had to go.
I was a little disappointed because best breakfast burrito I expected it to be taqueria style with chorizo, only to find out they don't have chorizo but they have soychorizo. It was definitely a turn off but, I was already there and had to get something.
I got the bacon and sausage breakfast burrito and tried the soychorizo and bacon breakfast burrito.
I did the bacon and sausage with potato and avocado. It was flavorful.
Soychorizo and bacon, that one just tasted like mush all I really tasted was potatoes.
Food was definitely healthier and not as greasy, just didn't quite hit the spot the right way when you were expecting something else.
Tried the coffee cake and cinnamol pull apart. Tasted old and not fresh.
Pretty cool that this place has been around...
Read moreGreat little store in the neighborhood! Family owned and operated. If you ever want to step back in time where life was simple and carefree and wanted a well crafted sandwich or delicious fried chicken with Mac and cheese…this is the place! It’s old rustic charm and it’s old vintage milk refrigerators, are such a wonderful sight to see, as this place takes one out of the present time and into a place from back then. The most exciting item that I came across in this little store, was their homemade beef jerky. It was awesome! I would recommend this place, if you’re ever in town, and need a quick bite to eat. Grab a sandwich and a coke, and drive down the street to the lagoon / Marina park for a nice little picnic to decompress during lunch or after work. I encourage the thought to Call ahead of time to see what the special of the day...
