Everything good that other people say in their review of this Farmer's market is true. It IS a great place to buy local food - most of which is organic. We particularly like to buy pierogies that are handmade. There are several bakery venues that sell homemade breads and pretzels which are a big hit with our children and grandchildren. HOWEVER, you must - simply must - get there early. I have been many times, and if I'm not there between 8 and 8: 30 in the morning the later crowds make it feel impossible to get to any of the stands to buy food or even to see what is for sale. We find it VERY difficult to walk along the sidewalk that separates each side of the vendors. You find yourself standing still more than moving. And, don't try to get to any of the popular spots like the Bavarian pretzels or the other ready to eat choices. There are long lines that move into the pathway of other people. If you get there early and you know what you're looking for it's a great, exciting place. Even when crowded the vendors and other customers are kind and friendly. It's just that you are "up close and personal" with a LOT of you neighbors. Keep in mind that many of the vendors will NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. Because of the fee that banks charge for the privilege of using their credit cards, it makes the price too high for private sales. So take plenty of cash. I did not carry enough cash my first visit and ended up using my hidden stash that I keep tucked away in my wallet. And even then I had to borrow money from my daughter-in-law to buy the things I wanted. I will definitely visit as often as I can, but if I do not get up early on a Saturday morning, and if I am not prepared to leave the house by 8, I don't bother to go. It would be a very good idea for the planners of this market - considering the popularity of this place - to widen the main thoroughfare. The stands should be farther apart so that there would be more of a pathway for the pedestrians to pass back and forth. People with strollers cause huge roadblocks, and the narrow passageway at the peak hours make movement for them difficult as well as stopping motion for others. I find most of the time that I walk AROUND the stands by skirting between each one, go around the back to the parking lot, and try to walk BACK through between the tents to get to the places I want go because of congestion in the main thoroughfare. Is it worth it? Well, I keep going back. But I make sure I'm...

There are vendors there I have not found anywhere else.
There is always a band playing and sometimes the music is really fun and lyrical to listen to.
There are hula hoops for those who want to play and usually several children swirling them.
Vendors are friendly and warm and sometimes near closing they will offer amazing prices.
Dogs are not allowed or any other animals, however today there was a bird perched upon a manâs shoulder, which I had not thought to take a photo of him and his bird and I wish I had.
Some dog owners sneak their dogs in which isnât the best idea because it can get so jampacked.
There are also local wine sellers; one vendor has preservative free red wines.
Itâs a fun way to spend a couple hours on Saturday and theyâve got great organic produce and varieties to...
