Bargain World 99 Cent Store — Local services in Los Angeles

The customer service is horrible all the people that work there act and treat people like they hate their job they're rude and don't care about their customers. They had a sign up on the hand sanitizer wipes stating two for $1 when I got up to pay I mentioned to the cashier that the sign posted said two for $1 she called over one of her coworkers speaking in Spanish and told him to take off the sign, he did so and she told me now they are $1 each I told her but the sign said two for $1 you must honor it because that is the law she broke the law by not selling them to me for two for $1 of course I left them not because I couldn't afford them because of her attitude and inconsideration to her customers anyone that has a problem like this should post it I am reporting it to the BBB because that is not right they should not treat customers like that even if it is a bargain store. I will let all my friends and family members know not to ever shop there, I will never enter that store again. There are so many other bargain stores I can go to. I've shopped here for a few years. What I noticed is like every bargain and dollar store they too raised their prices a lot after the pandemic. Hard to find the 1.00 items. And they no longer have the same, better quality variety. Enough of the merchandise is low quality, a lot of it is dirty, the packaging is damaged like its been in a few stores, opened, and didn't sell and ended up here.

The store has always been disorganized and very dirty inside.

And I wouldn't but any food products from them, they aren't stored properly, the outer package is dirty, and that usually means its not selling quickly, just collecting dust.

The current staff at the stored not speak and understand English very well, are unprofessional, and lack customer service skills.

A lot of homeless people hang out and there is a lot of theft. The staff do not follow the law and handle safety and secure appropriately.

Its a fight and lawsuit...

I went there with my friend. It's a cool store with nice cheap things. I bought alot of stuff for $20. But my problem was with the cashier. By mistake my friend's basket brushed the customer in the front and we all never noticed it except the cashier. She called us names in spanish because yeah we look different so she knew we didn't know spanish. We asked her why she was talking about us when we are even there, she said " you brushed her with your basket and its a free country we have to sau whatever we want".when told her you would have told us , coz we didn't see it, and we would have apologised. We apologised to the customer in the front, who accepted our apology and said its ok. The cashier continued being rude to us.
