California Donuts is an absolute gem of a place, located in the heart of Los Angeles. As someone who takes their donuts seriously, I must say that this establishment exceeded my expectations in every possible way.
From the moment you step inside, the delightful aroma of freshly baked donuts fills your senses, and you know you're in for a treat. The display case is a sight to behold, with an impressive array of flavors and colors that are sure to please any palate.
But it's not just the variety of donuts that impresses me. It's the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into each and every one. These are not your average mass-produced donuts. Each one is handcrafted with love and attention to detail, and it shows in the taste.
The texture of the donuts is perfect - crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The flavors are unique and delicious, with options ranging from classic glazed to more creative offerings like Fruity Pebbles and Matcha.
But what truly sets California Donuts apart is the sense of community that permeates the atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and there's a feeling of warmth and hospitality that makes you feel right at home.
Overall, I must say that California Donuts is a true masterpiece of a donut shop. If you're in Los Angeles, do yourself a favor and pay a visit. You...

The Donuts: Let’s be honest. You don’t just eat California Donuts — you celebrate them. • The Panda donut? Iconic. Fluffy, fun, Instagram gold. • The Fruity Pebbles donut? A nostalgia bomb in your mouth. • The Maple Bacon? It doesn’t just slap — it full-on high-fives your taste buds. • Even their basic glazed or old-fashioned is elite.
Everything is fresh, sweet (but not too sweet), and surprisingly light. You could easily demolish three before realizing you “weren’t hungry.”
⸻
The Vibe: Small, always buzzing, and full of people who know exactly what time it is. The employees are quick and friendly, even when the line’s long — which it often is (worth it). There’s just something magical about ordering a cereal-covered donut at 1:00 a.m. in LA.
⸻
The Verdict: California Donuts isn’t just a donut shop — it’s a late-night rite of passage, a dessert lover’s playground, and a photo op rolled into one. Whether you’re local or just visiting, go once… and then probably go again before you leave.

Read moreI am a big fan of this donut shop. They're Blended drinks such as the Taro in the matcha drinks are delicious. I've never tried the coffee. My favorite donut is a panda donut and the blueberry crumble donut. The dough is very soft, it's amazingly soft. Unfortunately the last two or three times that I visited this location was at the early morning time abou 3 to 4 am. And the same worker continues to just display a careless attitude towards any requests that we make. He never wanted to do any Blended drinks, he never had any of our favorite Donuts, such as a specialty Donuts. He only had the basic donuts. And that's fine and all. But what isn't fine is today I went and for the first time ever I noticed there were flies inside of the donut display. This is absolutely foul and disgusting. It's just obvious how much he cares about his job, he seems very impatient and he makes me and my friends not even want to visit this location. We wish that there was another location around Los Angeles.
If you do visit this city and want a delicious donut go during the daytime. The daytime workers are very polite and patient, completely opposite from the early morning worker. They have so many different types of donuts and so many different flavors. They're croissants are also...
