Rikas Peruvian restaurant is like the 5th or 6th Peruvian restaurant I've been to in LA. It's interesting because it's located in Koreatown. But this little Peruvian restaurant packs a bunch. I enjoyed it a lot. It's like classic Peruvian comfort food. If you guys haven't tried their ceviche mixto, it is a must try. It's probably the best Peruvian ceviche I'd had in LA. Nice fresh raw fish, and the sourness to the juice was just about right. Their chaufa pollo, or chicken fried rice, was also another knockout. It's safe to say that this is the best fried rice I've had outside of any Asian restaurant. Haha. Their lomo saltado was also pretty solid. Great sauce, fries, and steak. In all, I would highly recommend Rikas if you are in town. It is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in the area. You'll feel so great after eating the food here. The chef Jose is also a hospitable man. Look out for him if you come here. I shot a Youtube video of my experience at Rikas, which you can find on my Youtube channel Rockstar Eater.

wowowow! Came here with my mom and truly makes me appreciate small hole in the wall restaurants! Ordered the lomo saltado and it was so flavorful and savory. The green sauce is served in the side. It’s not too spicy at first but if you have enough you’ll feel the kick. It adds a nice touch to the meal. They definitely serve a lot of food in the portion (with lots of meat!) Couldn’t finish it all cause of how much food. Nice and friendly staff. Parking is tight but if you wait around you’ll find a spot in no time!

Wow! Just pure wow! The food was amazing, hot off the stove, and full of flavor! The real winner was the Peruvian hot sauce! It was the only thing I actually got a picture of because everything smelt so good, I had to eat it right away! We tried the chicharron de pollo, chauffeur fried rice, bistek a la chorrillana and got a whole chicken to go! All was spectacular!

Wow! Just pure wow! The food was amazing, hot off the stove, and full of flavor! The real winner was the Peruvian hot sauce! I visited this place on Sunday evening, I was greeted by friendly staff and they asked if we would be dining in or out we were dining in so they told us we could sit wherever we want and our waitress came over and took our order, she was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic, classic peruvian dishes, and good quality ingredients. I have tried a ton of peruvian restaurants in LA being peruvian myself from little hole in the walls to fancy haute cuisine and I have to say this is one of my new favorites. Low key laid back feel with perfectly executed classic peruvian dishes. Better then Marios!...
