I rarely write reviews, but my experience today was deeply disappointing. As a BIPOC individual, I felt it necessary to share my recent experience so others can be aware of what they might encounter. I was met with an exceptionally rude buyer whose blasé, nonchalant demeanor was truly unsettling. She rejected all the items I brought in—including t-shirts, a hoodie, a pair of shoes, and hats, some brand new—without ever making eye contact. Her brief interaction, lasting about a minute, felt dismissive and, I fear, was influenced by racial bias. To then be told these items were "out of season" felt disingenuous, particularly as I had sold very similar clothing at this same store just a month prior. After waiting patiently for 90 minutes, being rejected for all my items with such a flimsy excuse was incredibly frustrating. This was especially true since I had successfully sold similar items at this very location just a month prior. The buyer's approach felt condescending, as if she assumed I was naive. I must add that the other staff members I interacted with were helpful, attentive, and respectful of my time. My negative experience was solely with this one individual. In fact, I returned to this location specifically because of the great customer service I'd previously received from staff from the other store at this location...
Read moreI decided to sell some clothes at this location thinking that it’s new and that it would be a good experience overall. Unfortunately, it was not— the buyer who received my clothing was immature and unable to focus on my buy as she was more interested in the the person next to her as they had a cute tiny dog.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a cute tiny dog but if Deelux is asking us to make an appointment ahead of time I also expect a similar respect of time in return. If you wanna hire a bunch of unfashionably educated 21 year olds, that don’t know brands— best of luck.
Better to sell to Wasteland or Crossroads instead, they have a similar payout system and their buyers are more knowledgeable. Plus they don’t have the need to google every single label on your clothes, because they know their market better than the folks here.
Amongst the things that weren’t purchased from me: ganni, building block, nike, jcrew, rachel comey, suno, brand new birkenstocks.
Labels seen at the shop: forever21, shein, vans, madewell and other gen z brands.
The buying process they say is 30 min but it actually took...

Recently have been having bad experiences at other trade shops, (not deelux), so I’ll probably start exclusively selling here! Shirley was super informative and made me feel very comfortable and...
