I've been here once before since the new ownership and had a very good experience, but my experience on 6/13 was sub-par.

I booked a 4 pm appointment on a Sunday, came in 10 minutes before my appointment started, and waited until just after 4:30 for my appointment to start. I had nowhere to be, so the late start time wasn't particularly bothersome. It was clear that they were slightly understaffed and I figured I was better off being patient with the situation.

What bothered me more was that my haircut was rushed as soon as the next appointment came in behind me...after my appointment was 30 min behind. In past experiences, I've been given ~45 min-1 hour, but today I wasn't even offered to have my hair washed and was rushed to get done and be gone towards the end. While there were more things I would have liked to have fixed as expected for a $50 cut, it was clear they wanted me out for the next appointment and I wasn't in the mood to confront the staff about what was going on. The front desk employee offered me 25% off because of the late start, but I honestly would have rather just paid the normal rate and not been rushed out after 25 min.

I think I'll try a different location next time. Although this wasn't a terrible experience, I left dissatisfied and a bit cheated compared to previous...

I never write reviews but felt compelled after my experience today - I sat down and said I just wanted a clean up, which is at a $15-20 price point, and after my 5 minute appointment finished they attempt to charge me $50 for a back and sides cut. I literally sat down and said I just wanted a clean up. Not sure how I could’ve been clearer, or if my barber was just trying to make some easy money, but it was frustrating to say the least.

It did not help that the receptionist was pretty unfriendly throughout my visit. The info she gave me about coming in for a clean up conflicted with what I was told on the phone a day before (was told on the phone to schedule a regular haircut and say I just want a clean up, which I did - receptionist today said they’re walk ins only). She also told me to “give her 2 minutes” as I attempted to check out so she could do something on her computer - shouldn’t you help the person standing in front of you first? I don’t know, maybe that’s just me.

I usually have great experiences here but these seemed like basic things that shouldn’t have been...

Been coming to this location for just over a year and have seen a couple of different stylists (Aaron and Irena), both of which have been superb. The website does a great job of getting to know each of the stylist options so you can pick an ideal fit based on cut and vibe (along with different price points). The space itself is shockingly open and spacious, which lends a very unique character relative to other salons/barber shops. I have since moved to Pasadena, but still make the pilgrimage back to this location anytime I need a cut. Highly...
