Cafe Caravan — Restaurant in Los Angeles

What a magical gem this place is!! I love L.A., but sometimes I need a little escape from the busy feel that not only the cars bring, but the people. Stepping into Cafe Caravan feels like a gift of self-care. It's obvious that the owners were meticulous about the details of the decor and every dish and beverage on the menu. I really felt like I was on vacation in Morocco even though I had my laptop up and working!

And don't even get me started on how sweet the staff is! My friend accidentally broke one of their super cute glasses when we were there, and they were so understanding and kind about it. They made sure every single piece was cleaned up and all surrounding areas were 100% safe for their customers.

There's a variety of healthy, fresh, and perfectly filling dishes and drinks. Plenty of options for the vegan and gluten free people, as well!! My go-to list: The Full Egyptian, Ful Medames (v/GF), beet salad (v/GF), lentils (v/GF), Harira (vegetable soup-v/GF), hummus, avocado date shake, Moroccan latte, and matcha latte.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Caravan that left me thoroughly impressed with its exceptional service and delectable food and drink offerings. From the moment I stepped in, the staff's warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for an enjoyable dining experience.

The culinary delights served at this cafe were nothing short of outstanding. I sampled the Bodega Breakfast Sandwich, a scrumptious creation that melded perfectly cooked eggs with crispy hashbrown and a touch of this zesty mayo sauce on a brioche bun. The Turkey Sandwich, too, was very delicious, with its succulent turkey slices, pickled vegetables, and a tasty avocado spread on a baguette.

To complement these delights, I had Moroccan Iced Coffee, a rich and aromatic concoction that balanced the bold coffee flavors with a hint of cinnamon and star anise. My girlfriend sampled the Iced Moroccan Mint Tea. It was a refreshing choice that offered a delightful blend of minty coolness and subtle sweetness. Coffee was decent, nothing special but good. Sandwiches were subpar and extremely disappointing. They did not have baguette for their sandwiches and instead bring you a hamburger bun sandwich for a 16-17 dollars after taxes. I get that they may have ran out of produce but they could have made a bit more of an effort or not sell the product as advertised. I would love to give them a second chance but it felt more like a rip off at a trendy restaurant trying to cut corners on quality than a struggling small business trying to get by that have no other options...also considering there was a line out the door.

After my review, the owner/operator reached and offered a refund for our unfortunate experience. I want to thank them for acknowledging our review and trying to make things right.
