Foxtail Salon ✂ — Local services in Los Angeles

I had a stylist here, but when they were not available, I did not let my hair go to fallow and become a wild, tangled mess. No, I asked around and tasked a different stylist, one that suited the need and my time. It should have been no surprise that I would be happy with the change-up. Same Salon, different stylist - the shame some may feel at such a maneuver but not from the hair therapists at Fox Salon. I am now even happier than I was with my prior coiffeur craftsman, and for no viable reason. Both are impeccable with their skills; both are implacable masters of their craft, forever learning and honing their art forms. Truly it comes down to a matter of convenience and the artful dodge of selecting the appropriate artisan for the need while depriving another artisan of my patronage. As I've no need for dyes, I've little to no need for a colorist, simple as that for the change-up to be retained. Well, and perhaps a nominal $5 difference in their separate price structures and obviously, an availability more suited to my schedule. I know I would have been equally impressed had I opted for any other stylist calling Foxtail Salon home. I know this as my partner has been just as thrilled by their experiences at this fine establishment. If only LA hadn't a pernicious parking problem... I seldom issue a 5 star review and reserve that lofty praise for when I experience an 11/10 highly recommend, which Foxtail Salon certainly has done time and again.

Sean is great. I tried to ombre my own hair and messed up real bad. It had 3+ colors in it by the time I came to him for help. I was visiting LA for work, and I needed a solution fast, so I called various salons in the area for consults. All other "stylists" in the area were either unreachable or suggested a slash-and-burn, single-process fix, but Sean suggested a variety of tactics to fix the color while keeping the dimension and spirit of what I wanted. He seems to have a lot of knowledge and foresight that comes from lots of experience. He also has a very calm, kind demeanor, which was not my impression of the other area stylists I spoke to. Sean did a great job--my hair came out exactly as he said it would, even better than I could have imagined. And for a very fair price in a minimal amount of time. I can't thank him enough. The salon, by the way, is really beautiful and clean. You can tell the regulars love going there and have good relationships with their stylists.

I've had my hair cut by Zahra a couple of times now and she is hands down the best hairdresser I've ever had. I'm genuinely already worrying what I'll do if she ever leaves or stops cutting hair!! I have extremely thick, wavy/curly, dry hair that can be a total beast, especially if it's cut badly. Other hairdressers: don't listen cut it wet - PLEASE NO!! don't understand how my curls/waves work pull like crazy with their combs spend 20 mins styling and put so much product in that I end up washing it out straight after
