A successful company is always looking for ways to grow, however it should not be at the expense of the wellness of community members. At the end of the day, we fund you and pay your weekly/biweekly checks. I am writing this review on behalf of my mother who was taken advantage of as the result of the "lack of communication" and "lost in translation". Matter of fact is: there is a culture of lack of integrity, lack of transparency (please review prior feedback from disappointed members who were also victims of theft) and lack of ethics in a workplace that is suppose to serve the needs of the community. Alex Thomas who claims has 5+ experience working with customers was not receptive to feedback but rather listened to respond, was condescending, was prejudice and reflected lack of leadership skills. In fact, Thomas seemed to uphold a culture that constantly misguides prospect members into believing their finances are safe with the company but in fact the intentions are otherwise. For those "month-to-month" folks considering that route BEHARE of their BS $98 annual policy fee that is scheduled to be withdrawn from your bank account every month (that's not including your monthly membership fee). My mother is scheduled to cancel her membership tomorrow given that there is only one individual who is tasked for that matter. In other words it is easy for Thomas to have my mother drop $300 and entrust her bank account/card information to be secured but not easy to cancel a membership or be accountable. My mother won't get a refund and will take a loss of $300 (mind you she started on the 1st of this month) but it was a learning experience on our end to listen to our gut and take into consideration the numerous feedback from unhappy community members as the pattern of theft is clear. Hence, I am here to regrettably share our experience and to invite Thomas to reflect on the moral compass that I l'd like to believe there is and process how things could've been handled differently. We all are going through challenges situations and my mother entrusted her personal financial information for you to care for not to take advantage of. I also invite you to take that lost money as a donation to get you and your staff into a professional development journey as the echoing feedback of lack of professionalism and transparency is a matter of urgency. I rate this 5 star based on my experience within the past few months of my interaction WITH THIS SPECIFIC LOCATION as well with the staff and people in it. I canāt really say much for other LA FITNESS but this one does the job for me.

Active and Fit is a program where you get multiple gym memberships which was covered by my insurance and I had no issues, I liked everything about this gym location is great and itās a nice gym my issue is after Active and Fit stopped partnering with LA Fitness and I had to get my membership there directly. Right before Christmas I went in with the free day pass since I already was previously going to that gym and liked it. So after they signed me up with the day pass they sat me down and talked to me about pricing and they were being pretty pushy trying to get me to get the membership which I didnāt like and I kept saying next time I come in since I still had Christmas shopping to do. He was not really taking no for an answer and said if I didnāt like it heāll give me my money back after the workout so I finally gave in because they werenāt taking my no for an answer and gave them my last $100 cash since I was thinking okay if I donāt like it theyāll give it back.. WRONG okay so the plan he signed me up for was $40 a month so I thought I would be paying $40 today, they said they didnāt have change for cash so it would be used as credit towards my next months payment which I didnāt like either so I was iffy and again said āNo itās okay, next timeā and again he wouldnāt take my no for answer and kept insisting I get this membership today since pricing will go up really high to over $100 a month and said again if I didnāt like it I could get my money back. I finally agreed just so I could start my workout and he said okay so it will be $80 today and the additional $20 will be used towards next months payment so I just said yes sure since he said if I didnāt like it I could get my money back. After my workout I decided yeah Iām not gonna get a membership there after all since I didnāt like the way they were being pushy and I did still have Christmas shopping to do so I went to the desk to ask for my $100 that I paid with an hour prior and they told me they didnāt have my money and they already deposited it to the bank and if I did want my money back that I would have to wait 3 weeks.. thatās so crazy because I had given it to them not even an hour before. I came in just for the day pass and ended up leaving spending $100 I couldnāt...
