just completed a one week stay with this comfort inn. Please be careful with this hotel - unfortunately their response as a result of my complaint speaks to their greater concern with their bottom line than with the safety of their guests. ||||It pains me to write such a poor review of this hotel. Truthfully, if it were not for the final day of my stay and the end result of trying to simply resolve the issue - this review would look quite different. On the final day of my stay i was just barely on time to leave to get to an extremely important event. I had an Uber waiting and the elevator was busy so I took the stairs down to the bottom floor. It was unclear at the bottom of The stairs which direction i should go - as there were two doors. I took the door on the right which led outside and found myself trapped. There was a large wall surrounding my area, approx 20 feet of bushes to my right that I could not climb through to circumvent it - two doors back inside that were both locked and a locked gate that would lead to the area outside the wall. I panicked being trapped like this and needing to get to my event so I had to climb over the tall gate and hurt my foot on the way down. I called the front desk as I got into the Uber and They said they would have management follow up with me. ||||Two days later I had not heard from anyone so I called and spoke with Allison. She was extremely understanding and kind and I explained that I would prefer to resolve this by clearer signage, a thorough review of emergency exit protocol, and a simple refund of points I spent in that one night's stay in which this happened. She called me back after reaching out to the GM who refused to do or offer anything whatsoever. ||||Unfortunately now, I will be reporting this and providing my pictures tomorrow to the local Los Angeles Fire Department in North Hollywood. I created a case with Choice Hotels and will be reviewing all other options available in regards to this issue. If the hotel was truly concerned with the safety and security of their guests - this would have been easily resolved and changes would be made immediately. God forbid there was a fire and this happened .......if you were there with small kids....an infant perhaps. It makes my foot injury seem so minimal to the greater situation that could occur. I truly wish the general manager cared more to right this situation from all ends on their own. Sadly, this is...
Read moreLet's start of by saying we were very very please with our stay with this Comfort Inn and Suites in Burbank North Hollywood. For our first visit to California this hotel made our stay enjoyable from the time we arrived and met Charles our check in host. He was very pleasant and accomadating. Traveling with a 6 year old who likes to play on the floor with her dolls I was extremely impressed to find out at the time of entering my room the carpet was just shampoo and cleaned as a matter of fact the rooms were immaculatly cleaned on a daily basis that was very important to me being OCD and not trusting of hotels. The housekeeping staff was terrific and gracious. The room and the bathroom was big and spacious and absolutely comfortable. We had a slight issue with our fridge in which the maintenance staff handled quickly and efficiently. We absolutely loved our stay here. We had no parking issues as a matter of fact we felt as if we had our own parking valet. Whenever we left and came back no matter what time we returned there was someone there to assist us with parking. The hotel was very clean and well kept. The breakfast was obsolutely delicious. We even liked the location of the hotel not only was it close to all the attraction we wanted to see it also had a little shopping plaza across the street and other surronding stores and fast food restaurants. This was a family vacation due to spring break and the entire family ENJOYED there stay. We highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay. Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay a wonderful and comfortable...
Read moreThis is my first stay at this location and in my opinion typical of a Comfort Inn. My flight was delayed 1 hr which meant I would not be checking in until 12:30AM. (I actually arrived at 1:00AM to stop and get some food before heading to bed) I simply called the front desk before my flight left and I was re-assured someone would be at the front desk for me to check in which was accurate.||||The free parking is tandem so if you arrive late you may have to leave your car key with the front desk. I did find my rental car to be moved the next morning without issue.||||The neighborhood is quiet and while not the best neighborhood I did feel safe there. Each room has it's own ventilation system to exterior which is important to me having young unvaccinated children at home. Unfortunately, the window was secured shut so I couldn't get any other source of fresh air from the outside.||||The room itself was spacious, comfortable and quiet save for the mini-fridge which I did end up unplugging to sleep at night. I found the free internet speeds to be adequate for emails and Salesforce entries. I did not stream video. ||||The grab and go complimentary breakfast was impressive to me. Be sure to bring it back to your room to use the in-room microwave to heat up your sausage & egg sandwich. If you want something more substantial there is a grocery store across the street.||||All in all, pleasant staff along with a safe comfortable room would bring me back again. I give it a 4.5 for execution at this...
