It's a great date. You park for free. You have a sensational lunch at The Stand, North Hollywood. You walk a few steps to the elevator and go to the Regal Theater North Hollywood to see a movie. Wow. 'The Stand' is a top-notch grill that features true Americana: sandwiches, salads, shakes, sides, and desserts. This restaurant is truly wonderful and wholesome. My cousin and I really like the French Onion Soup Burger, but since we are soft vegetarians, we asked them to change the hamburgers for turkey patties. No problem. It was just after noon, so we enjoyed the blueberry lemonade. We went for the movie 'Wild Robot'. My sincere advice is to never see a 4DX showing. The seats are back-breakers, along with the wind blowing in your ears and the rain spraying in your face. There are smells to complete the experience. Awful. But I've lost my place... There is a nice selection of beer and wine. There are plenty of televisions playing various sports. Ask for your channel of choice. There is lovely outdoor seating next to a walk-through fountain. Nice. Very nice. Three thumbs up. The Stand at NoHo West 6150 Laurel Canyon Blvd #140 North Hollywood, CA 91606 (818) 206-5252 Reservations are not necessary.

A good spot to watch a sport game on their TV if they are showing it and to hang out with your friends. Their burgers are okay but it's not like one of my go to burger joint. I came here with my friend right when they open to grab a early lunch. We parked in the parking structure and walked to the place. Since it's raining, we decided to sit inside. They check vaccination status here so have your card or digital card ready if you're going to dine in. I got the base burger with bacon also added fries and a drink, which the cost was pretty pricey compared to other burger place. I was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes since we came when they just open. If you need any sauces like ketchup, ranch or etc ... you'll need to ask them for it but you fill up your own soda at the soda fountain. The burger was alright and the fried was okay to me, nothing that stands out like other places. The customer service here is excellent, they'll greet you when you walk in and come by to ask of you need anything.

I ordered from here on the food delivery apps and didn’t go into the storefront so details related to such an experience will not be included in the review and you’ll see 3 stars on service and atmosphere. I ordered the Onion Stack Burger with charred jalapeño scallion aioli, mayo, grilled onions, patty cooked to medium and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese with grilled onions. For a place known for their burgers they made one hell of an amazing short rib grilled cheese, it was so good I’ll probably get that moving forward, I already can’t stop thinking about it. The short rib grilled cheese is definitely what you want to try if you come here. On the other hand, the burger was not it, the patty was so overcooked I could feel and taste how dry it was even with everything that came in the burger. Disregarding the patty, everything else was okay and I’d definitely get it again if I knew the patty wouldn’t be overcooked.

Although I’m writing this review for this location, this is just my review for The Stand as a restaurant overall. That said:

This place is great. Their burgers aren’t world class or anything, but they’re a far cry better than any fast food joint not named In N Out (and even then I’m debating if The Stand burgers are better). Fries are crisp, seasoned well, and the entire meal comes in an adorable little tray. The hospitality is also something to take note of. Soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a TM with, “Hi! Welcome in.” That by itself shows this place treats you not as a customer but as a guest. This is the Mendocino Farms of burger joints in my opinion. Nice sit down place with a number placard. They deliver your food. Everything is a la carte so it will be a tad expensive if you want the full shebang of entree, side, and drink. But for what you’re paying for, the food is for sure worth it and they do ensure guest satisfaction here. No need to bus your table because they’ll do it for you. They even have a sign that literally asks you not to clear off your table and just let a TM handle it. Great music selection. TVs provide something to look at and watch while you wait for your food or eat. A large menu. From steak bowls to salads to sandwiches to burgers with a build your own burger option. Even the desserts are just something to really sink your teeth into. I don’t frequent The Stand a lot but whenever I do, it’s pretty great. Great food for the price you pay, best customer service, and just an overall pleasant vibe. For The Stand in...

You know - everyone once in awhile - you're completely blown away by something that was literally a 'hail mary' kind of meal (the only place open with an appealing menu)...

THIS... was exactly that.

2 months ago I had happened upon this while looking for 'Deli Sandwiches' - and boy has it become a kind of later-night addiction- hits the spot every time, and super reasonable prices for the generous portions.

In fact, it's been so consistently great that I also now place full-on Catering orders for me team at work to treat them on Fridays - everyone gets something they love, plenty of extra to go around with all the Sides included... and everyone's always super happy.

Need to give a special shout-out to JOSEPH and CHRISTINA - they are the two managers that always are so quick to jump in and help make orders run smoothly. If there's a slight problem with a catering order - they go above and beyond - which in this day and age is just SO RARE.

And folk like IVAN... so sweet, takes such good care with orders and even double-checking to make sure everything's in the to-go bag.

I have to admit - I've never actually eaten in the beautiful open happy space (it's such a beautiful space) - but everyone's always having a blast, actually hanging out and conversing (vs. just having their noses buried in their Iphones!)

If you're craving anything Classic American by way of Burgers, Dogs, Sandwiches, Gourmet Sides... YOU FOUND...

Not sure I what I did to you today, Mr. William Greene, but I apologize.

Today (11JUN2023) we came in and ordered a Big Blue Burger, hot dog, onion rings, and a soda to go with you as the cashier. I thought it was weird that you asked for a name and still gave us a number, but I didn't think much of it. We sat nearby on the high top tables at 1:03PM after we ordered.

Not sure why, but it was just very cold in the store, and I was shivering. Should have brought a jacket today.

We waited for 30 minutes and wondered what was taking so long with our order, seeing people ordering after us get their food. We've been to The Stand before in Northridge as well as this one before. We usually go after we watch a movie, so we understand if there was a rush, but it was a Sunday afternoon, and there were a good amount of empty tables.

Like I said, I'm not sure what's going on in your personal life or whatnot, but from our first encounter to the last, it was night and day. You may have misheard me when I said "half an hour" and abruptly corrected me with it hasn't been an hour, just 30 minutes, so I'll give you that. But there's no way we missed both our name or number being called being so close to the To-Go counter, and frankly, I didn't like the tone that it felt like blaming us that we messed up.

Don't get me wrong, the food is great. This may have been a one-off, but I may have to rethink eating here if I see you as the...
