Overall it's a good store but had the worst experience in the customer in store online order pick up. I literally go there to pick up my order and Salam (Macy's employee) simply asked me only my name and pushed me to stand to the side with no further information. Instead of calling for someone to help me he just waits for skmeone to walk by. After about 15 minutes he sees security walk by and asks them to help me, as if security knows about my order. After, security says they would get the manager for me and I'm stuck for another 20 waiting! After almost 40 minutes I finally get help from the manager and he tells me that my order is on the 6th floor not the 1st. Something they apparently couldnt tell me when I first showed them my order! The most ridiculous bull** I've been through to PICK AN ORDER UP. Worst part is the manager (male with hair parted down the middle to the sides and wore facial glitter with other applications) or Salam didn't apologize or feel the need to assist me properly since they never really acknowledged me the way employees do customers. Last time doing that. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else, it's insanely frustrating. Luckily I wasn't the only annoyed and improperly treated customer so I had people to...
Read moreI used to love the Beverly Center, I really did. I never really cared for the Grove - to much tourism, too many people.
Yesterday was my first visit after their remodeling (which was really a nightmare). I like the new design from a designer standpoint, found it cold and unwelcoming though.
And unwelcoming it was - first I was shocked when I parked - no one there? I was wondering: is it closed? Then: no people. Not that I really mind, I was not looking to find new friends/ company, but to buy three things:
We came to buy a coffee machine at Macy's. We were the only customers there, two sales reps. We asked the first for a specific machine - The "Breville Nespresso Creatista Single Serve Espresso Machine with Milk Auto Steam Wand" in black was on display and I asked her if this model was also available in "Champagne". She shrugged - had obvoiously no idea what she was doing there. She helplessly looked to her colleague, who said in a harsh Russian accent to "come back later". We left - ordered the coffee machine...
Read moreSo yesterday was the day after Christmas and we went shopping. We were in the Men's Calvin Klein shoe department IN MACY'S AT THE BEVERLY CENTER browsing and out of nowhere an Old Asian Employee wearing a name tag that read LES looks over at us and says FINISH LINE IS DOWN STAIRS 🤔🧐. HE NEVER GREETED US,ASK US DID WE NEED HELP. YES OF COURSE WE ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN. I WAS SO OFFENDED. WE IGNORED HIM AND LEFT THAT DEPARTMENT AND CONTINUED SHOPPING,BUT THE WORDS STUCK IN BOTH OUR HEADS. WE JUST COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY HE SAID THAT TO US OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT WE ARE "BLACK". WE TRIED TO CONTINUE SHOPPING BUT BOTH OF US FELT DISRESPECTED AND OFFENDED SO AFTER ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES WE BOTH COULDN'T SHAKE THE MOOD HE PUT US IN AND LEFT THE WHOLE MALL WITHOUT PURCHASING ANYTHING. WHATS IRONIC IS THAT I WORKED AS LOSS PREVENTION FOR MACY'S FROM 1998 TO 1999. I HAVE BEEN SHOPPING AT THE BEVERLY CENTER SINE I WAS 13 and Macy's is the only store in that mall that I always experience some type of...
