Edit - I didnāt have the opportunity to pick up my developed film within the 30 day deadline so I called in to ask if they still had mine, they kindly checked and confirmed they still had mine! I was so glad to find out they had not disposed of it, so I said Iād drive there to pick up my film that week. Which I did. Drove 30 mins. No one was there. Called but no answer. was appalled and left a 1 star review then I got a phone call immediately from a lady saying they were open again and we could grab our film! Yay! I was seriously ready to adjust my review.
My husband ran in for me. The business owner didnāt greet him and immediately said that they threw out our negatives and in the same breath started to spew hate and anger to my husband for my 1 star review. My husband was very uncomfortable and shocked to be met with such behavior. I am horrified how this place conducts business when things donāt go their way. Donāt piss them off.
I was incredibly sad over the negatives which were of our little baby who is growing up. Priceless memories we cherish dearly that we cannot get back. To have a small business refuse to give us and throw out our negatives out of spite because of a review is pathetic and hateful.
As for the quality of the 35mm negative scans - they looked ok except they had a lot of dust. We had to ask for a rescan twice.
I wouldnāt go back to this place if it was the last option in LA. Thankfully itās not and there are amazing and professional options in East LA that do flawless scans with incredible colors. Iāve been doing film photography for 25 years and never experienced something like this.
The irony is I would have been very open to change my review had they been kind, and professional. But they preferred to be spiteful and verbally attack my husband rather than show any attempt for decent customer service.
My original review -
They leave for lunch (or close randomly) and donāt leave a note on the door and no one answers the phone. I drove 30mins for this. Second time this happens to me trying to go to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've trusted One Stop Film Lab since day one when they opened within walking distance from me. I have had 100's of rolls of film developed and scanned from them with FANTASTIC results every time. They're consistent, reliable and always willing to accommodate me when I need cross processing, custom resolution scans etc. They always have Cinestill and Lomography in stock as well as the current offerings from Fuji and Kodak, along with really cool expired rolls. The dudes at one stop have never done me wrong, and I've been satisfied every time! I'm moving away and will ONLY get my film developed there for the following reason: Integrity, reliability, consistency, and friendliness. Disregard the nay sayers, ROCK ON,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHi! Love this place, been shooting film professionally for about 3 years. I feel sometimes I have gone to almost every single film developing place in the entire Los Angeles area, and this is my favorite. The best bang for your buck (those high-res scans!)plus they are super respectful and nice. Almost all the places Iāve been to are like churning machines, working as a business with the main goal to make money. One Stop are craftsman, and care about the art of analog. I absolutely trust them with my film and my camera (yāall do repairs?). The only reason they are not my regular stop is it can be a trek from the west side, but if I was closer I would...
