So disappointed in the service I received at studs this past weekend it was nothing like the tiktok videos I had seen or Instagram posts. I made an appointment through their website and I had seen influencers get piercings there and the shop looked so aesthetic that I decided it would be worth the drive from San Diego to LA. As soon as I arrive I’m stopped at the door and not let inside until I explained that I had an appointment she asked for ID and proof of vaccination which btw is not mentioned in the confirmation text luckily I had a picture of my vaccine card on my phone. The girl checking me in then says that I need to fill out a waiver and she mentions that the piercer is ready for me and I can finish filling out the waiver in the chair, the piercer was not friendly at all I felt like I was inconveniencing her by not filling out my waiver fast enough and her and the girl who works at the store were complaining about busy it was. She just asked me what piercing I wanted handed me a box of options and the whole experience was about 15 minutes. As I walked out the girl working there says “did you even get pierced?” That’s how fast the whole thing was I felt rushed the piercer didn’t even care to make me feel welcomed or help me or guide me through the process. I didn’t even get the chance to really look around and take any cute pics of the store it was just a get in and get out type of deal. I was hoping for a different experience based off what I had seen online, in the videos it makes it seem like they help guide you through the process show you all the options I’ve even seen some videos of associates holding earrings to customers ears to make sure that is what they want but in my case it felt like since I wasn’t an influencer or because maybe I didn’t fit their vibe I wasn’t given that same treatment. Read moreI don’t know if I just keep coming when the rudest employees are on but I have had two horrible experiences here customer service wise I had my piercings re-pierced in New Orleans so I’m really only going for a follow up. However, the last girl told me that she wouldn’t check my piercings because it hadn’t been long enough even though I’m getting my hair tangled on them and definitely need shorter backs, and the guy in New Orleans told me since they were mostly open. It probably wouldn’t take us long to heal, so not only would she not change my backs, She also told me if I even wanted her to look at them I had to make an appointment and they have nothing for a week , so I go in today to get my appointment and they said that they needed a physical ID. I was not told that when I made my appointment and when I went to show her my piercing and I touched my ear she freaked out about me possibly touching the counter afterwards and then give me hand sanitizer. Read moreWent today April 1st a little after they opened but before 11am. There were 3 employees there and one of the female employees who was “servicing us” was not polite. We asked her if they do the constellation style type piercings and she gave us a look & said “stacked piercings?” And then when we asked for jewelry changes and which ones would be best, she then made a comment about “if you were pierced correctly” that’s not a nice comment to make to people when they get piercings. Everyone’s body is different therefore certain piercings are different on everyone. I felt the employees didn’t really feel welcoming to help us out or inquire what style of piercings we were looking to get. If they had been more helpful and assisting we would’ve scheduled an appointment for another day as she said they were fully booked. The other two employees were just sitting in the corner eating. Definitely won’t be getting pierced at this location. Especially after seeing reviews from MONTHS ago and still the same service being provided.
