Living here has become a nightmare we never imagined. We moved in believing it would bring comfort, dignity, safety, and stability for our family, but instead we’ve been met with neglect, unfair and unjust actions against us, broken promises, and a silence that feels deliberately cruel. From the very start, our household was split apart — even though we qualified for a 1, 2, or even 3-bedroom unit, we were placed in the smallest studio in the building and two family members had to give up signing the lease and moving in. Our income was inflated during certification, forcing us into the highest rent tier, and we were promised it would be “easy” to upgrade later, which turned out to be just one of many lies. Management refuses to move us to a larger unit, not even offering a 1-bedroom as a temporary fix, leaving us cramped and uncomfortable. Since moving in, rent has been raised three times in under two years, including two increases just weeks apart with the first increase hitting us even before the 12 months lease completion. Our 2024 recertification paperwork again showed inflated income and missing household members. Over a year ago we reported a documented 15% income drop — yet management and the landlord still to this date, refuse to record it, trapping us in the highest rent bracket in the smallest studio while trying to pressure us into signing incorrect paperwork under threat of wrongful eviction. An elderly, disabled family member has been waiting over a year for approved live-in caregivers to move in. The accommodation was approved back in 2024, yet the landlord refuses to issue the move-in paperwork. This is about someone’s health and dignity, but instead of acting they’ve left it on indefinite hold while ignoring every single email, every single plea. Since Fall 2023, strong second-hand smoke from a neighbor’s unit has been entering our home, and despite repeated requests for help, we have been ignored or worse, asked to “preserve” toxic smoke for their own so-called verification. Our one and only tiny window barely cracks open an inch, forcing us to blast the AC and tape our own filters to the vents. What hurts most is the complete silence — the property manager, Christina, has never acknowledged a single email in over six months, not one, and even the Director of Compliance, Mia, has stopped responding entirely. Imagine paying rent always on time while being a perfect tenant but having a landlord who refuses to communicate. We watch our elderly family member suffer without the approved care they need, we live in fear of the next rent increase, and we keep overpaying for the smallest studio at the highest rent tier. The message is clear: they want us so uncomfortable and desperate and mentally and emotionally and psychologically compromised so we just pack and move out. For a property that claims to serve vulnerable residents, this is not just mismanagement — it...
Read moreWE CAN BUY YOU A LAUNDRY BASKET: the review of an okay Building, Awful Unit, and Worse Leasing Experience
BUILDING: Lacks amenities to be considered true luxury. Small pool, doesn't have a hot tub or spa, parking layout is terrible with no security or assigned parking. The elevators have been down at least once a month since moving in. Trash constantly in the parking lot and outside people's doors. Smell of gas leaks on floors, smoke coming into units through the HVAC, dogs getting sick from the dog park, and people smoking in the elevators. Not something you'd expect from what they're marketing as a "luxury" apt.
UNIT: The "luxury" unit had holes in the walls and obviously bad patch jobs in other places, and paint was everywhere except on the walls. On appliances, plumbing fixtures, floors, down drains, and on windows. In the bathroom one of the floor tiles had a huge crack in it. In the kitchen the base boards were falling down already, and the freezer handle broke off on the second day. All red flags but the biggest issue was the entire unit smelled like sewage. Beyond frustrating for the amount of money they were charging.
In all, not a great look for their "luxury" apartment, but hey these are fixable issues right? Well they were unable/unwilling to fix most of the issues. Instead of offering to fix the broken floor tile, the leasing manager sends an incredibly condescending email stating: "We can buy you a laundry basket to put over (the cracked tile)."
Eventually I had to switch units because of the sewage smell and had to move at my own expense.
LEASING TEAM: Unprofessional, inexperienced, condescending, and lack the ability to manage simply tasks.
With all the issues I had with the first unit you'd think they would be willing to help or offer compensation, but instead of offering solutions they responded with condescending emails and offered a dinner at the hotel bar (that we never received) for having to deal with the smell of sewage for 2 weeks at that point. In the end, after constant emails and phone calls over those 4 plus weeks they told me I could either pay $400 more a month to switch to another unit or deal with the sewage smell.
CONCLUSION: I'm writing this as more of a cautionary tale. Yes the leasing staff is a joke, but once you are finished with that it's been okay. The lighting in the new unit's kitchen as gone out every other month, but it's been fine. Still I personally wouldn't recommend leasing from this building. You'll be paying way too much for a terribly managed apt building from people who don't care about you or maintaining it. Look elsewhere. Literally anywhere else. You'll save money, get better amenities, and avoid the smell of sewage and other potential...
Read moreI've spent a year living in this apartment, and as I prepare to move out in May, I can't help but reflect on my experience here. The people have been absolutely wonderful - from the polite neighbors to the super responsible agents, valet attendants, and front desk staff. They all work tirelessly to ensure that everyone who enters the building feels welcome and secure. They're quick to send visitors up to the floor only after checking with the residents, which adds an extra layer of peace of mind for those living here.
When I first moved in, I recommended this place to many of my friends. However, after living here for some time, I've encountered a few issues, especially considering the price. For the rent I'm paying for my low-level studio (almost $3300 a month, not including parking and utilities), I expected a bit more.
-First off, the dishwasher has NO DRYING function, so I've found myself manually drying dishes to avoid them sitting in a hot, watery environment. -The dryer machine automatically stops EVERY 5 minutes, requiring MULTIPLE RESTARTS and MANUAL water dumping for a single load. -And don't get me started on the dog wash room - promised before I moved in last year, but still under construction as I'm moving out. -Don't live on the south side of the building, ants tend to find their way into your room. -And the gym? Let's just say it's in need of some serious upgrades. Most people stick to the cardio machines because the others seem to have been designed by someone who's never worked out a day in their life. Plan to go outside gym if you need resistance training equipment.
Despite these issues, I still recommend this building for its excellent service and staff. However, I'd suggest opting for one of the top of the collections for a better selection of appliances...
