We picked this restaurant on a whim, and what a tremendously lucky break. I ordered chips and dip that included a gorgeous array of fresh, delicious tortilla chips served with a cheese/jalapeño dip and guacamole. The plate was teeming with all three, for $10! We couldn’t finish it. What?! I don’t think I’ve had good guacamole in LA for under $18. My friend ordered garlic/cheese bread, which was a delicious and generous portion. Much of it was taken home. She had the chopped Italian salad, which she described as the perfect combination of ingredients that balanced so well. I had the Chinese chicken salad, which I’m sorry to say, was kind of bland. Requested more dressing, but that didn’t perk it up much. I had chocolate mousse that was so absolutely scrumptious, I had to finish the perfect portion. It was so smooth, balanced, and gorgeously presented. Not too sweet and rich, how mousse is often served. When we arrived, the staff told us to take a pick of the available tables, and we were quickly handed menus and given a chance to review them. Service was courteous and efficient without too many interruptions. We were shocked that the place was almost empty, but they close at 7 pm; so maybe breakfast and lunch are packed? In spite of my salad, everything else was perfect. I would definitely come back to try more items. The prices were incredibly reasonable.

Came for lunch with my coworkers. The overall restaurant was nice, it is a short walk from our work location. The food: I ordered the 7-hour bolognese and it was good, not anything special. It was very oily, which affected me later in the day and not in a good way. My coworkers ordered the burger, to which she stated the highlight was the bread, and the others ordered the chicken sandwich, where they said it was ok. Overall, I'm not sure if I would return. The service: it was almost absent. It was nice at the beginning, and then became lack luster after we received the food. We asked for more water from several servers, and it never came. Also, when they brought the check, they never returned, and they were focused on cleaning the restaurant over assisting us. The atmosphere: standard, it was a bar first based on the looks before it added the restaurant side of things.

Tasteful atmosphere and very good service, this was after the lunch rush hour. The crowd varies depending on the time, but I'd say it is more on the high end of things. I hear during lunch rush hour the place is packed with people who work nearby so time yourself and unless strictly necessary don't come between 11:45am and 12:30pm. Downs:Music a bit loud (A too frequent nuissance these days in bars) I liked their tea service and that they actually had tea. I ordered chinese chicken salad, and I'd sincerely give it a 4, ot a 5 but,hey this is not a chinese food join. I'm totally coming back. Another note: Parking is challenging in this area, and this restairant-bar does not offer validation.

Omgosh, I can't tell you how much more I'm loving this place! We stumbled upon this place before a show at the Pantages about a year ago and I remembered I had ordered a Miso cod that was very tasty. You know how you go back to a place the second time and sometimes it's a different chef or it doesn't taste the same? Well, this wasn't the case.

We came back here with all of our friends this time for a big group Friendsgiving dinner and they did not disappoint! I was having trouble deciding between the Miso Cod again or the Tuscan Salmon. I finally decided on the Miso cod just for old times sake haha. It was very delicious again. Sauteed veggies and a kabocha squash puree accompanied the star of the show. Our orders varied from burgers to the 7 hr Bolognese and my friends were telling me how much they enjoyed everything and how flavourful everything was. The food wasn't the only stars of the show. Everyone from the staff to the chefs and Stephanie my event coordinator were just amazing! Bravo!

I originally had a group of 29 which then changed to 24 a few days before the event and a couple even cancelled the day of and everyone at the restaurant were so accommodating. Mind you this big of a group wasn't an easy feat to organize. I gave pre-orders on a spreadsheet with the same dishes coloured coordinated along with who got what, as well as dietary restrictions and everything came out perfect! I am so impressed and appreciate the entire experience! The staff was so attentive throughout the evening. We didn't feel rushed and they didn't give us a time limit on how long we could stay. We had a very awesome Friendsgiving gathering! Thank you so...

Had perhaps the worst restaurant experience of my life here just last week. I'll try to keep it to just the "highlights:" Ordered drinks; my wife's order was wrong. Not seeing the waitress nearby, she went to the bar to get the actual drink she ordered. Bartender told her to return to the table and our waitress would deliver it. When she did, she was very condescending: "Is this better, MISS?" "Is this more to your liking, MISS?" When we and our friends were all finished ordering entrees, the waitress turned to one of the four of us and asked if she was ordering an entree. We repeated all of our orders to make sure they were correct. When we got our salads (two orders to share among four), the server appeared confused since three more dishes arrived at our table-none of which we had ordered! At this point we asked for, and received, a wine list-but no one ever came to take an order. Predictably, when we were served our entrees, my wife's was missing. Time ticked by, no fourth entree seemed to be on its way; waitress nowhere to be seen. When she was finally tracked down, she accused us of sending it back and said that it was being redone. Also predictably, the dish she described was not what my wife had ordered. When my wife finally received her entree (and the rest of us had finished our plates at her insistence that we eat while our dishes were hot) the waitress was again extremely condescending: "Is this one okay, MISS?" "Wasn't it worth the wait, MISS?"

At the end of this excruciating meal, we did get one lackluster apology. The good thing was, it really made me appreciate normal (not even...
