Flying in from Seattle to attend classes at the Institute for Art and Olfaction was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s truly a place where perfumery dreams come to life. The energy is vibrant, creative, and completely welcoming—whether you’re a beginner or deeply into the world of scent, you’ll feel right at home.

The instructors are absolutely incredible—knowledgeable, passionate, and generous with their insight. Every class felt like a deep dive into both the art and science of perfumery, and I left feeling inspired, empowered, and more connected to scent than ever before.

important work in s beautiful little space. It’s so clear that the mission of the institute is something every person on the team is passionate about. The space is clean and well organized and has a stunning collection of scents. Anyone that wants to get in touch with their sense of smell whether as a novice, a professional or an expert will benefit from the events and classes here. I also love the little book nook and the exhibit space. 10/10 I wish every city could have an Institute for Art...

I had a great time today at the intro class. The class would be suitable for a complete novice (like myself), or someone with limited amateur experience who wanted some guidance to start making their own scents in a more structured way. The session is very hands on - and a lot of fun. It is also as simple (guided) or complex (potentially using any of the scents in their large collection) as you want it to be within the 2.5 hour limit....
