If I could rate this less than 1 star then I would. The level of utter disrespect that the associates showed this evening to my friend, her husband and her daughter is mind blowing and unacceptable. No one should be treated this way. We went in the store after dinner to take a look at some gifts since we are visiting town. The moment we walked in, the staff were eyeing us like hawks, making us feel uncomfortable. The moment my friend’s daughter touched something, one of the associates hurried over and told my friend, her husband and the baby off, that they shouldn’t touch things. She then walked away and in Japanese spoke to the other associate about my friend and her husband and baby being rude, not knowing that one of us in our group is a fluent Japanese speaker.

We returned back to speak to the two associates and the manager about what she said and how it is rude and no customer should be treated that way or spoken to about that. In utter disbelief when the manager apologized but defended her associates for their rude actions.

Been experiencing constant racial profiling with this store. The staff has a habit of following around Hispanics. I noticed they don’t do this with Caucasian & Asian customers. They even treat them better at the cashier & even greet them too when entering the store. One of my family members is fluent in Japanese & overheard the staff gossiping in Japanese behind our backs, saying rude & discriminatory comments while laughing. Plus the items they have are exaggeratedly overpriced. BigBadToyStore has these same items in the original Japanese retail price for way less! Also don’t bother visiting the other shop “Make Asobi”, it’s the exact same situation. They also racially profile Hispanics in their store & gossip in Japanese...

The sales associate with half her hair bleached followed my friend's two year old daughter around and the moment the she touched anything, the sales associate would bark demands "Don't touch that!" "That's not for sale!".

She stomped away and talked down about my friend in Japanese to the manager. We have a friend who understood Japanese and heard it all.
