TEMPORARY EDIT: I am usually very happy with BSB, but I have had off chance quality issues with the food from time to time. Tonight, my Chicken ceaser salad was prepared with staples and rocks within it. I called the restaurant after biting into a staple, that poked into my gums which was very painful, and came from inside my chicken salad, and the guy I spoke to was apologetic and accepted responsibility for it. I was a good sport since he had an explanation about a broken jammed stapler he fought with earlier, and we laughed it off, and I moved on. Then just minutes later as I was so hungry, I couldnt resist but continue eating with the risk of finding more staples, AND CRACK!! I bit into an actual rock from within my salad and cracked a piece of my molar off. I live 100 feet away from BSB and I opened and ate my salad at the table, in a very clean house/dining room. I am dumbfounded that there is no apparemt way to reach the upper management at this place considering the dangers of finding these items within my salad which I paid 20+ dollars for. Hopefully, someone reaches out to me from the restaurant, this is a potential lawsuit, not to state the obvious that this is just rediculous. This has been one of my favorite places to eat.... Previous review/edited: Chinese Chicken Salad is BOMB! I have been eating this everyday now for a few days, sometimes for dinner too. It is SO good! Its a bit pricey, well because everything is nowadays TJB. If youre looking for a rediculously good Burger or salad, this is your place. Also, Be careful not to try the chili fries, they are INSANE GOOD! You might find yourself binging daily. Great customer service too. Highly...

This past Tuesday around 4:30 PM I was taking my six year old to get ramen on Sawtelle and I found some awesome parking two blocks away from the restaurant, which is on the same block as Black Sheep Burgers.
When we were getting out of the car she started screaming that she had to pee really badly and that I needed to get myself into gear. We ran across the street and by the time we turned the corner to head to the restaurant she was hissing “Hurry up, mommy!! It’s coming!! I can feel my pee coming out!!”.
The first restaurant I saw was Black Sheep burgers, which we’ve been to before, but were not planning on eating at, and as we passed by the front window I could see that the lock on the bathroom door was turned to “green/vacant”, so I pushed my kid towards their open door and said “Go in there, go, go right now!”. The only person working at the front looked up when we walked in and I asked/told her we were coming in to use the bathroom, before she could say anything my kid was catapulting past her towards the bathroom door and this employee wasn’t able to get out of the way fast enough, so in my haste to get the door open for my kid and avoid catastrophe I inadvertently kicked the employee working there.
Thankfully disaster was averted but when we left there was no eye contact made. I shuffled us out, looking down, and thanked them for letting us use their bathroom. Sorry I tripped over you a...
Read moreI recently went in to pick up lunch for myself and a colleague. The beautiful lady working the cash register was sooo sincere, sweet, hospitable and peaceful. I immediately felt a sense of warmth. We got the Black Sheep salad, the Caesar salad, Fries, Cauliflower wings, Buffalo Chicken wings and Brussel sprouts. The salad was very fresh but I forgot to tell them to hold the bacon. They were kind enough scoop the bits out for me. The lady at the cash register noticed the balsamic dressing was eating from my bag and she quickly repackaged everything for me and made sure I remembered to take my mineral water. Parking is a lot easier on a week day, other than that, it's the luck of the draw. This restaurant gets busy and stays busy regardless. Actually, I call Sawtelle the Restaurant Row because that whole place is jumping with delicious, various eateries and desserts, etc. This is definitely a spot to check out. Dog friendly, family friendly...Black Sheep burgers hit the spot. I would order the chicken again and try the California Roll burger with the panko fried chicken instead of beef. I wouldn't get the salad again and my colleague said her salad was just alright. I also wouldn't get the Brussel Sprouts again. RUSH in Culver City has some tasty sprouts and I make a very tasty rendition myself! Lol. I will put this restaurant back in my rotation and return to them before the...
