This Uhaul place is seriously unorganized. They charged me $28.94 and said that it was not taken out of my account when I specifically put money in my account for this transaction. I walked to Wells Fargo which is around the corner to verify the money was taken out of my account. The bank then assured me the money was taken out of my account and to access my online banking to verify that it was for my own records. Once I saw the money was taken out I was very surprised that they would tell me they need to run my card again to take the money out for the U-Haul. I went down to the U-Haul and showed them my bank statement online that the money was taken out and they still refused to give me the truck. They said they need a reference number that the money was taking out. But what does a reference number have to do with anything when I showed them my statement? I then called Wells Fargo on speaker phone in the store to verify with them that the money was taken out of my account. She talked to the Wells Fargo lady on the phone and Wells Fargo told the U-Haul representative that the money was taken out of the account by U-Haul. She proceeds to tell Wells Fargo she needs a reference number to approve the transaction to give me my truck. Wellsfargo says that there is no reference number they can give it is a regular transaction and that she can refer to my online bank statement that the money was taken out. The lady said it was not good enough and she would not accept it even though she talking to Wells Fargo live on the phone. I had to pay extra money to get a truck for my wife and I so we can move. Before we got there and while the problem was being had there were also other people in line that had problems. This place is a dump and they will not help you. They are thieves and will steal your money. I plan on writing corporate and whoever else I have to do to make this known because this is not fair for regular people to deal with. We do not have to stand for this while these corporations take our money and these workers who claim to not be able to do anything to resolve our situations stand by and watch as they take money out of our accounts that we do not have to spare when they are the ones that have messed up to begin with. You have been warned. Do not go here if you want to do a safe transactions. They will take your money...
Read moreFrom reading some of the reviews online, I see that the excellence of the people at U-Haul of Hollywood has been noted by many. For me, that's everything.
As some reviewers commented, the check in process through the app is a bit cumbersome, perhaps especially for me as a senior. But what I remember is not the app itself. What I remember is Cesar, The fine gentleman assisting me with check-out He saw that I was having trouble reading the shiny credit card numbers, and he offered his assistance before I had to ask. He did the same for the steps of the app I was having trouble with.
Caesar is friendly and professional and smiling and patient and kind. The check-out could not have been better.
I was astonished when checking my truck back in was another stand-out stellar performance. Checking me in was a gentleman excuse me from Guatemala with a big safari sun hat, with a smile and personality just as big. His name is Rene, and he was genuinely interested in the quality of my rental experience, and he engaged in friendly conversation while simultaneously doing a very thorough check of the truck. Rene was exceptionally polite, and like his counterpart Cesar in the morning, he delivered superior customer service.
After checking my truck back in, I went inside the store to buy a few more boxes. I was assisted by an exceptionally warm, intelligent, and service dedicated woman. I later learned that she was the manager. I believe her name is Supty Matos. When I complimented her on her brand of excellence, Ma. Matos was both humble and wise. She smiled and said "Treat people the way you want to be treated, isn't that the way?" I wholeheartedly agreed then, now, and always. I think Ms. Matos get a special mod for setting the time and choosing people like C her and being the face of U-Haul hollywood.
When is the best experience I ever have renting a truck. Cesar, Rene, and Supty, gave me a memorable positive customer service experience exceeding all expectations. This is...
Read moreI made the mistake of reserving a vehicle at the U-Haul of Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard. The manager and another employee we're working the counter checking in customers. I was first in line when another customer and his daughter came in the office. Both of them yelled hi to the manager and she responded to both with their names and continued to hold a conversation with them while she was with her customer at the counter. When the manager completed her transaction with the customer, customer walked away and I started to walk up to the counter. The manager raised her hand and told me, "just a minute I have to take a phone call." and she proceeded to walk away from the counter. The other employee at the counter finished his transaction with the customer and motioned me to come up . As soon as I started walking toward the male employee, the manager made a big production out of pretending to say goodbye and hang up the telephone and then she rushed over to take care of the man and his daughter that walked in behind me. I may not rent U-Haul vehicles as often as he does, I may not be on first name basis with the manager at U-Haul of Hollywood but, my money is just as good as his and as a customer, I think I should be treated as well as she was treating them and not be PUSHED ASIDE. I'm sorry to say that i Will Not be using U-Haul ever again. There are so many other trucking companies and U-Haul is now at the bottom of my list. 3 days and I have YET to...
