I don’t usually leave reviews but honestly had a pretty bad experience here that I’m going to be spending the next couple months fixing so I feel like I should warn people. I won’t name the stylist but basically I went in for just a trim and pretty quickly she was telling me what was wrong with my hair color and asking me what I wanted to do about it. I’ve been asked this same question at this salon before by a different stylist but I was in a place where I loved my color so I ignored it. This time, however, I was not loving my highlights so when she was digging through my hair telling me what needed to be fixed and when I showed her a photo of my inspo she assured me it’d be easy to do and also made fun of the other hairstylist (I get it but I kinda feel like it’s unprofessional and also….I’m the person who has had to walk around with this color!!) I felt in a low place but booked an appointment for her to do my highlights because she said she could make them perfect. I came back two weeks later and after sitting through a 5+ hour appointment my hair was actually darker and duller than when I came in. She kept saying “if you don’t love it PLEASE reach out and I’ll fix it tomorrow.” So the next day I called to have it fixed (I had to call multiple times to get in touch with anyone) and they fit me in for a second appointment. I had to wait an hour but she got me in and revealed that the day before they didn’t actually have the color she thought would work best for me so she just used a different color…hence the darkness. She also told me she used 5 developer which, if you are someone who regularly gets highlights, you know that’s not going to do much unless you’re already naturally blonde. She used Malibu CPR to strip my hair and ended up putting some more bleach on it in the bowl. Another almost 5 hours later she revealed the color and it was extremely warm and yellow/brassy. I didn’t have the energy to tell her I didn’t like it because I had already spent soooo much time sitting through these appointments and I didn’t want to spend more time with someone who can’t do my hair. I did end up reaching out to her and she told me she would fix it but at that point I don’t think it would be worth my time or money to ever come here again. Anyway!!! Ultimately my hair is an even worse color than it started but now it’s also pretty unhealthy. Just want to warn other blondes to be cautious and make sure you book with someone who definitely knows what...
Read moreMy ear is BLEEDING. Men do not get your hair cut here. Never never never. They do not know how to cut a mans hair. I've gotten 3 haircuts here. The first two were unsatisfactory, but not terrible. The third haircut I received was by AMANDA OZARD.
Amanda Ozard, initially I asked for a small clean up. She said that she charges $35 for a clean up instead of $25. I thought that I might as well pay for a full haircut because I thought more expensive=better quality. This is where I was wrong. I asked to clean up the top and texture it. Terrible is an understatement to describe the haircut I received. "I won't make it look like you had two haircuts" as she proceeded to cut the back of my head in two distinct lengths. I asked for it to blend in, but now I have a uniformly 2 inch area that I was trying to grow out, next to hair that was cut as short as possible with scissors. That is not what I asked for. AT ALL. I did not realize what she was doing because she never showed me the back until it was done and far too late.
The sides are not clean and extremely disconnected. My left ear is bleeding which I didn't realize until I came back home to fully assess the damage.
When she finished the haircut and grabbed the mirror so I could look at the back of my head my heart literally dropped. I know from experience, when someone butchers your hair, do NOT ask them to fix it because if they did it in the first place they will only make it even worse. They clearly do not have the skill to do a good job, and it's even harder to fix someone else's mess.
No, I did not leave a tip on my $95.52 bill to have my ear cut and hair butchered beyond recovery. I bought the product she used in my hair because that's the only way I could possibly see my hair looking okay, with it all stuck down. I never use product in my hair because it was never necessary, now I am required to if want to walk out of my house with this...
