Terrible customer service, never going back.
I ordered an item that wasnāt sold in-store, and a store employee told me that I could pay in-store and pick it up next time. They also assured me that if I wanted to return it, I could do so in-store.
However, when I picked it up and tried it on today (3/19 around 7 PM) in the store, I didnāt like it and decided to return it. The female employee at the counter scanned my e-receipt twice and told me it didnāt work. She then gaslighted me, insisting that it was an online purchase and that I needed a physical receipt to process the return.
I stepped out of the store to double-check my e-receipt, and it clearly showed that the item was paid for in-store. So, I went back and pointed out the āpay at storeā memo on my e-receipt, but she continued to deny it and refused to help with the return. She said, āIf you want, I can ask for you, but Iām telling you that you need the physical receipt to return it.ā
Eventually, she came back and processed the return. Clearly, the staff training is inadequateāI paid in-store, yet I couldnāt return the item in-store despite having an e-receipt. That makes no sense.
Do better, Uniqlo Century City. Donāt let your employees gaslight...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnlike the comfortably spacious Uniqlo stores in Los Angeles found in the Glendale Mall and the former store once located in the Beverly Center (which Iām still not overš), the new Uniqlo Century City Mall store is cramped, confusing and at times can feel like youāre walking through a maze, always looking for the pathway out. Thereās no joy in shopping here. All of the shelves and hangers displaying the clothes are crowded together which leaves you with no room to distinguish whatās what from what. Is that a cashmere sweater? No, thatās a cotton sweater that is squished in the same area, leaving you confused and desperate to look at the big cardboard placards which tell you what it is. Mediums are always entirely gone. Why not just order more Mediums?! Childrenās wear merges right into adult clothing in a very annoying way, as do the under garments. Am I now forced to travel across town to Glendale for their generous aisles, distinct zones, plentiful mirrors and luxurious check out areas?! (the same floor plan as the Beverly Center, by the way). It will soon all be online anyway, so I guess enjoy the brick and mortar...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecently sized Uniqlo that this mall definitely needed.
Self-checkout was modern / interesting. Didnāt end up buying much since the Uniqlo prices in Japan (in yen) are way better. Clean layout, easy to navigate throughout everything (menās on left womenās on right) with friendly staff....
