Ziggy's Hair LA — Local services in Los Angeles

I hate leaving bad reviews, especially for businesses that I have valued in the past like Ziggys. But I feel completely justified in this review, and I will preface this by saying that their stylists are incredible and talented. but this is my beef: I made a hair appointment a month in advance, for my formal. it’s a really big deal at our college, and i’m a senior so it’s a really big deal for me too. But then, literally an hour before my appointment, as I was already driving there, they called me to let me know they could no longer fit me in at my appointment time?? They asked me if I wanted to reschedule, as if I had another big event or something in a few days 🙄 I literally broke down on the phone and begged them to see if they could even fit me in for like hair curling, or anything, as the one thing I absolutely cannot do is style hair. They told me they were jam packed, and then simply told me to have a great day, which just made it incredibly worse. Of course, there were no other available appointments literally the same day, so i couldn’t do anything with my hair and I felt so hideous at formal. I have come here many times in the past, and they have done a beautiful job on my hair, And I trusted them to help me on the most important night of college but they clearly do not value me in return. What I don’t understand is how I had the Appointment booked a month in advance, and they didn’t make room for me that far out on the calendar. and even if they had reached out to me a few days in advance, I wouldn’t be upset. But to call Before my appointment time, leaving me no time to find a new appointment at any other Hair salon, is inconceivable to me. as amazing as the salon has been to me repeatedly in the past, I don’t think i will be...

Very bad experience with them. There is on girl name with chrishlove with whom I had an appointment. Firstly she started with wash then after she started with normal cuts but in that she is not properly divided my hairs in equal parts she doesn’t even know how to start she roughly cuts my hair without any proper way I told her I want bouncy with the more layers but my hair is neither look like what I told her not layer one I don’t know what she did with my hair. My money is wasted my hair is shot still front desk ask me for $80. Added actually if we got what we want we will pay happy $80 as well but when it’s not satisfied then there’s always waste of money. She doesn’t know how to cut hair because I think she is just doing training right now.The way she is cutting my hair. It’s not look like she knows how to do. Crishlove doesn’t know how to even cut the hair with the scissor like in which direction says just cutting with the simple way as anybody can cut. In between I was saying that I want more detailing please two more detailing. Started with the blow dryer and then after again it is cutting my hair in between I don’t know what type of cards is doing. It’s totally worst. I’m not going to visit them again...

I couldn't be happier with my whole experience at Ziggy's, from the moment I called to make an appointment to two days after my cut and color when I called with more questions about upkeep on my color. They have the perfect balance of professionalism and a fun, friendly atmosphere.

Lexx did a stellar job on the undercut design, and I never once felt a pinch or pull from the clippers like I have at a few other places. She obviously takes great care of her equipment and is a true artist with the clippers!

I also got some peekaboo highlights from Linda. I swear, this chick is a wizard with hair dye! (I saw somesof her other clients while I was there, so if you want something crazy done, see Linda!) She took my stubborn natural red hair, and was able to get a beautiful vibrant orchid color that complements my natural shade perfectly. She's also super fun to chat with while you're there!

And so is Vi! She checked in with me throughout my time in the salon, made sure everything was going well, and the she did the final cut and style to make sure that my new color and undercut looked perfect.

I can't recommend them...
