Clueology Rooms — Local services in Loveland

OUTSTANDING!!! My wife and I had the pleasure of playing our 294th room at this amazing location. This was my wife and I's second trip to Clueology where we had booked to play just Trailer Park Twister but ended up playing that and Alcatraz as well thanks to the staff's willingness to make a last minute booking when we discovered we had an extra hour. Right from the start, the phenomenal staff made sure that our visit was going to kick off with a "clang." We were already excited and expecting to have a great time, but Clueology managed to completely exceed our already high expectations. Not only were both games unbelievably fun, well thought out, and thrilling, but they also had some of the most entertaining puzzles and effects we have seen in any escape room. To anyone considering playing any of their incredible rooms, there is no choice that you will be anything less than ecstatic with. My wife and I can honestly say that this hidden gem has become one of our top favorite companies. Their staff is out of this world, the owners are friendly and knowledgeable, and their games are uniquely one of a kind. I would like to give a shout out to our amazing game masters Kayli and Brad. Kayli greeted us with a smile and enthusiasm from the very get go and made our whole experience that much better. She brought an energy that carried with us through both games. Brad took the time to talk to us after the games and even point out interesting ways that we solved puzzles and bits that he enjoyed watching us complete. All in all, I cannot say enough good things about the gamemasters that made these great games amazing. To the designers and builders - well done! We have been telling all of our escape room friends all their rooms are a must-try experience that will leave you laughing with hearts pounding to the very end. To enthusiasts, if you get a chance don't miss out. You will regret it. Lastly, on a somewhat separate note I would like to express my utmost respect for the beautiful use of recycled, antique electronics. I won't say exactly what I'm talking about to not spoil the game, but that small touch in Alcatraz brought a warm glow that made me smile. That is a tricky thing to pull off, but was expertly done - from someone who knows the difficulty of making that detail come to life. Seriously outstanding work, can't wait...

Edit: To begin, I would like to apologize for not including any text with my review on the first attempt at posting. I somehow posted the review without the text that I had originally written. My wife and I have played 280+ rooms and that has never happened during one of my reviews.

I am editing this post to rectify my incorrect original 3-star rating. This is because one of the company's owners, Krista, reached out to my wife and I to try to understand why a rating less than 5-star was given and how it could have been a better experience. Krista went above and beyond to have a personal phone call that could allow her to understand our rating and maybe provide any insight on our perspective. Krista made it clear that customer satisfaction was very important to them and that they wanted to be able to improve upon any areas in need. This dedication to providing the best possible escape room experience is what makes a great company and the industry stronger. Thus, a star was returned.

The second star returned was because I believe I may have been too harsh with my initial rating as we had an incredible time in their Bermuda Triangle room. I can admit when I've made a mistake and I believe I had done so by giving too low of a rating. This room had one of the most unique puzzles I have seen in a very long time. Of the 280+ rooms that my wife and I have played, this room had one of my new top 10 favorite puzzles of all time. To compliment the rest of the design of the room, the puzzle that I am referring to was completely different from anything I had seen before, unbelievably entertaining, and elegantly designed. We both loved this room and had a great time. We highly recommend this or any of Clueology's...

My wife and I absolutely adore escape rooms. We've lost count of how many rooms we've done, not just in Loveland and Fort Collins but also in Boulder, Denver, San Fran, NYC, Minneapolis/St Paul, Philadelphia, and probably other places we're forgetting about. Amazingly, out of all of these, our favorite rooms are consistently right in our backyard here in Loveland at Clueology.

It is literally a family business, run by Krista, Jake and their kids. But their rooms are consistently better than the big corporate cookie-cutter rooms you find all over larger cities! Specifically, they have some amazing elements:

Every room has some quirky humor mixed in with the puzzles that lightens up the intense solving you're doing, but never in a cheesey way that detracts from the room.

Every room has really great puzzles that are difficult yet make sense. We've never gotten stuck and then later been like ``oh THAT was what you were supposed to do?'' The puzzles always come with that sense of accomplishment and satisfaction afterwards.

Every room has impressive technology and decor/thematic elements that really contribute to the wow factor.

Besides all this, you really can't beat their customer service. Krista couldn't be more delightful to work with, and really cares deeply about making sure everyone has a great experience at Clueology.
