We have taken our dog to a few other facilities due to frequent moves related to jobs, and we will never be taking our dog back to Greenlin. It is shocking the way the staff not only treats the animals in their care, but the pet parents as well. The staff is rude, disorganized, and makes you feel as though you are an inconvenience every time you walk through the door. Aside from this, the facility is filthy, and my dog has never been so excited to LEAVE upon pickup. The list could go on and on, but some of the major problems:
Our first day dropping off our dog at daycare, upon pickup, they brought out an unleashed dog while carrying a harness, stating they âcould not figure it outâ. This was because this was not our dog â not even the same size, breed, or name. The staff member physically dragged the poor other pup into the back and begins screaming throughout the rooms to other staff members to see if âanyone knows where this dog isâ. About 5 minutes later, she returned, still without our dog, asking us to now describe what our dog looked like. 10 minutes pass until our dog is finally brought out, in which the staff member stated, âit seems she was locked in the wrong kennelâ. Although taken aback completely by this experience, we understand that mistakes can happen and decided to try again with daycare here.
Our second pickup was not much better. We paid for their âPuppy Academyâ service, in which our pup is supposed to receive basic training and a report card. Additionally, we paid for her to get a bath, and her nails trimmed. Upon pickup, there was no report card, and when asking the front desk staff about it, she replied âwe must not have gotten around to itâ. The staff member who brought out our dog stated she was unable to give her a nail trim due to "her color" (although this has NEVER been an issue at any other facility). It was also clear she never received a bath either. But, we were still charged for both services.
They advertise a Flickr account in which you can see pictures of your dog during their time there. Not once has our dog ever been seen on this account, which began concerning us that she spent all her time in a kennel and not with other pups.
Finally, as one of the only daycare spots in the area, my fiancĂ© and I rearranged our work schedules to only board her 1x/week when our schedules overlapped. Still, we have had to visit the vet 3 times. Two were due to a diagnosed Upper Respiratory Tract infection and one was due to severe diarrhea/GI upset â each requiring antibiotics. We called to inform the facility of these contagious illnesses, as our vet was pretty confident in the fact that these were due to her daycare stays there (especially as it was our third visit, with only one common contributing factor). Our call was purely informative, as she had recently been around other pups, and we were hoping they had a protocol in place to prevent the spread and/or inform other pet parents to keep their pups safe and healthy. Instead, we were told by the staff member âdogs get sick, it happens. This call was unnecessary but okay thanks I guessâ before hanging up. This was our final chance with Greenlin, as my fiancĂ© and I were speechless that this was the response we received.
Proceed with caution before taking...

We dropped off our 6 month old Corgi puppy, Tito (attached a pic for reference, this was not taken at Greenlin), at Greenlin Pet Resorts Camp Hill to be boarded for one week while my husband and I went on our honeymoon. He is currently enrolled in training at Petsmart and our trainer told us to tell Greenlin âno trainingâ since they have their own training program and it would mess up his current training. She said they use harsh punishments. I didnât think much of it. During our trip we did receive some photos of him outside with other dogs, but I paid extra for a bedtime story to be read to Tito daily and for him to have two walks per day but there is no photo evidence that it happened. Fast forward to when we picked him up this past Sunday, November 21st. We were only told about possible respiratory illnesses being spread throughout the facility after we picked him up. He was acting off. I noticed when we got home and he rolled on his back, his outer penial area was red and swollen. Our vet canât tell if itâs a UTI or a prepuce infection. Either way, he is on antibiotics now but had no health issues prior to his visit at Greenlin. Negligence?? Dirty kennels/outdoor space?? Iâm not sure. What really made me angry was what I witnessed last night. We have NEVER EVER used our hands, objects or any sort of physical punishment on Tito EVER. I went to feed him a piece of chicken while simultaneously holding a spatula in my hand and he flinched when I tried to feed him. I tried again and he cowered in fear and ran away. Later that evening my husband was sweeping the floor with a broom and got too close to Tito and again he cowered in fear and ran away. He NEVER acted this way before!! Seeing the fear in his eyes made my stomach turn!! Do not send your babies here!! I...
Read morePostives: The facility was nice from the drop off area. The staff is friendly. I also appreciated seeing the flicker photos of our dogs while they played outside each day. Our dogs appeared to be enjoying their playtime. Negatives: We also were not informed of the presence of a respiratory illness prior to drop off. There was only a sign posted on the door. We were leaving for vacation that day so I had to leave my dogs in their care. One of the two did contract kennel cough. Both dogs are up-to-date on vaccines. I am also disappointed that we were not informed that our other dog was experiencing anxiety symptoms. She ended up having large sores on her paws from excessive licking. I did pay extra for the TLC package for this dog in which a staff member was supposed to sit with her and pet her for 30 minutes twice during the week and read her a story. I didn't see pictures of that so I am not sure if it actually happened. I feel like if it had then they would have noticed the sores forming. The dogs received one combined report card at the endwith generic comments. I feel a separate report card for each dog would have been more appropriate as they were in separately runs and play groups. Both dogs required vet care with antibiotics after their stay. The vet office even stated they felt the resort should have contacted them to...
