I was told it would take 14 weeks to receive the bed I ordered. It was available a little sooner, but I had to wait 2 more weeks to get it because of the shipping schedule. One week they only deliver 2 days and the following week they only deliver 3 days. So I had to wait into that additional week for a delivery because I had personal things on those 2 days . The delivery guys were very nice and friendly. The mattress I ordered wasn't so nice. Visually looked ok, but laying on it, the top of the mattress didn't have the soft foam on it that the store's sample had that I tried out. This caused me to go to the store to find out if they sent me the wrong mattress or someone else's. Well, it checked out that it was the right model, but the one I received didn't have the soft topper. I really think the mattress company cut back on their stuffing to save a buck. Nicely, the person helping me was the sales woman who took my order in the first place. She asked me how the bed was, and I told her it's very nice but I'm disappointed in that too. I ordered a twin bed from the catalog, and I had a choice of the metal color. The catalog showed a gold bed with white decor pieces all across the bed. It was so pretty! I picked out a silver color for my bed. That's what I got, a bed painted all silver! No white decor details on this bed at all! It's a sturdy bed but it actually looks to me to be drab without the white detail. I have had an awful year with a death in my family and a really stressful week. I didn't ask for any exchanges or anything because I can't handle another wait of 14 weeks. I came to the conclusion that I will never order anything from a catalog again! And I'm never waiting 14 weeks for furniture delivery again. For me, this wait was very stressful. I made sure I moved everything out of the way for delivery, so I wasn't charged for the delivery men to move anything because they charge you heavy fees for doing this. I'm not going back, I'm going to find a new mattress. I'll get some white enamel paint to paint those areas on the bed that should have been white, myself. This bed was expensive and for it to be delivered like this is really sad. I think the company should receive a photo of the custom item and have the customer approve that the order is right. This company charged me 99 dollars for delivery and 100 dollars to put my bed together. I'm done thinking this place will give you what you pay for. And you have to pay for it upfront. They take no deposits on an order. I don't...
Read moreI would have rated this a 3.5 but Google doesn't allow half-stars as far as I can tell.
All told, the sectional we ordered was in the size and shape and color we selected and the pillows were the design we requested. Two of the three pillows had holes in them, which the Lancaster store made us aware of when they were scheduling delivery and had already put in an order for replacements before calling. Couch was of good quality and has been as we expected it, which is why I opted to go with four stars as opposed to three.
One of the biggest disappointments in my interaction with this company is their follow up / follow through. We ordered a sectional back around the beginning of May. The order had a 30 day delivery guarantee (which, by the way, only means that they'll refund the delivery fee but doesn't actually do anything to get the couch to you any sooner) and we were told on ordering that our sales person would follow with us in a week to two weeks to let us know how things were going. They did not.
My wife and I, over the entirety of time it took to deliver this furniture, had to initiate almost all of the calls to Laura, our salesperson, as we didn't have her reaching out to us like we were told. The couch didn't get delivered to us until July 5th (well outside the 30 day mark and well after we would have liked to have it or even when we could have used it at a fourth of July party we had). While the company did refund out ~150 dollar delivery fee, that was only after we called to complain about how long it was taking.
Delivery, once it actually happened, was smooth; the delivery men were able to get the sections of the sectional in and assembled fairly painlessly. No damage to house or the sectional itself.
Bottom line: may end up shopping here again because the quality of the product was good but the communication (at least on the Simpson Ferry location) was sub-par and I would recommend anyone that orders from here for delivery allow for twice as long as they tell you for the item to actually get...
Read moreI bought three items at Interior Home in Camp Hill. My sales associate, Beth, was really great. Deliver of the items was great and on time. However, in about 15 months, a section of the couch I bought broke when my tiny sister sat on it. The springs ripped away from the frame and are resting on the ground. I called IH and navigated through the voicemail to get to customer service and left a message. No response. I called again. No response. I went to the store and Beth was able to get customer service to call me. They stated it was no longer under covered under warranty and I would have to pay for repairs. I have no children and no large pets. A couch should not fall apart when a 120 lb woman sits on it. I asked to speak to someone else. She told me a gentleman would call me back. Once again, no response. Now I need a new couch and this one is less than 2 years old. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of the product, it was their line, and the lack of response from the customer service department. I gave 2 stars because Beth is a great employee and I enjoyed working with her.
Edit: I paid for someone to come repair the couch. They could not repair the couch because it was made out of scraps of plywood. The factory used short 1/2 inch finishing nails to put the plywood together instead of screws and glue. The finishing nails had pulled out of the plywood and destroyed the plywood. The cost to fix the couch entirely would not merit repairing it. I did call the store to see if I could perhaps get a credit on a new, better quality couch, and no one called me back. The repairman laughed when he looked inside the couch and said it was terrible quality and not worth the $2000 plus I paid for it. Meanwhile, my friends have all purchased couches from Bob's for $400 and they have held up to children and pets running all over them. I am very disappointed in my experience....
