This was the FOURTH time a worker named Dawn gave me a dirty look as I was deciding on my purchase for my girlfriend. I wanted to ask for help looking for something specific, but Dawn was rude and I feel that I was targeted for being a man, like she didn't want to smile and say anything to me. I really couldn't believe she just glared at me as I politely smile. I wasn't going to post anything but today she said "what do YOU want?" to my elderly mother! At this point I'm considering a lawsuit. Once I heard her tell an employee that they had to secretly skip their lunch break because they were short staffed. Was it a coincidence that person was a man?! I've never seen such a mean employee walk around with a grimace and a rude attitude and still have a job. Her attitude towards men is sexist. I know it's a craft store but men can shop their too. My mother and I may file...
Read moreEverything is wildly overpriced (I assume so they aren't losing money when they're handing out 50% off coupons like candy) and their inventory is like a hodge podge of hobbies with a small selection of merch for each hobby, a TON of decor, and some cheesy toys.. craft-wise, its helpful if you are rapidly changing hobbies trying to find your thing, but for people that are looking for craft supplies for a hobby that's lasted longer than 15 minutes, I don't recommend visiting Michael's. For most crafts, (at least in my experience) you'll find a wider variety of items per craft type at Hobby Lobby.
2 stars because the store was clean and the employees...

At 1930, they decided to have a staff meeting, all at once, and left our drink orders sitting on the bar. Not even a bartender available as we were parched. Finally recieved our meals at 2015. There were, at best, 10 tables seated including ours. I had the $85 Hillside special which was a 8oz filet, an 8oz lobster tail and a signature crabcake...with baked potato and applesauce (specifically asked for no cinnamon on the applesauce. The crab was underseasoned and bland, the lobster was inedibly overcooked. The steak was decent, if you love gorganzola. They forgot the baked potato, and put about a Tbsp of cinnamon on my applesauce. Overall, for the price of the meal, i dont think i will be returning...
