The reviews of the salon sounded really impressive so I decided to make an appointment and visit for the first time. Leaving my appointment, my experience seemed too good to be true so I decided to wait a while before commenting. So many times the results go south within a few days after a pedicure so I wanted to be sure before everything was as good as it seemed. I'm very happy to say that almost a week later, my nails look and feel as perfect as when I left my appointment. I never know what to expect the first time I visit a salon and that day I got there late and was the last customer of the day. I really expected to get a rushed job and then hurried out the door. To my surprise, I got just the opposite. The stylist's name was Ann. I told her what I wanted and she took her time to do everything exactly as I asked. She also gave me a really great foot massage but the conversation I was having with her and her lovely daughter was so good that I didn't pay much attention to it. She talked to me and treated me more like a good friend or family member than a customer. During the drying time, she started getting ready to go home and close up shop. When she took her mask off and let her hair down, I was almost speechless. She was so stunning and elegant to look at, I could only describe her as an "Asian Melania Trump". It was hard for me to believe that a woman this beautiful had just worked on my feet. I highly recommend this place.
Update: I returned for my next pedicure but Ann was not working that day so I got Mary. She did a nice job shaping the nails. They did not have a color even close to what I was looking for but while she was doing the massage, another lady there was experimenting and they came up with a rich gorgeous color that looked amazing. I'm looking forward to getting that phone call in connection with my next visit. This place is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate. The original review was from my first time visiting. Becky did my nails. They were great. I have since been back 2 other times, and my nails were marginal--from the same tech. They were not painted well and weirdly shaped. Today, I decided to try one last time. I went on a Monday when there was no one else in the shop except two techs--Neither one seemed happy I showed up. I had dip on my natural nails--about 1/4 inch over my fingers. She pulled the dip off 7 nails with scissors and an acrylic nail used as leverage. (Note--this is the same person who had done my nails 2 weeks ago). She only soaked 3 fingers. I asked her to leave the nails the same length and not make them any shorter. I also asked they be round and not pointed. She started shaping and filing. I look down and the nails on my right hand are all equal to my finger. Every nail was gone except the pinky which was pointed out 1/16 of an inch--sharp like a needle. I told her to stop. She kept filing. I told her to stop again. She tried to say that she didn't cut, she filed. True-but my nails were all gone. Another tech offered to put on acrylics. I don't want acrylic nails. I wanted my own that I had spent months growing. I left and took everything off at home and will start again. I know there are huge problems in the world and nails shouldn't be this upsetting, but I am sad and frustrated. I feel like my service came second to the conversation the workers were having amongst themselves or that the tech didn't understand and chose to do what she felt like without asking for clarification.
But, I have never, ever seen someone pry dip off fingers without an acetone soak. That is just bad form. Sadly, I thought I had found a good place. I will not be back to this place or their sister shop Lemoyne Nails.
Great experience. Shop is friendly and clean. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I went in today and had all of my nails except 3 and needed a fill. The lady that did my nails did not know what she was doing AT ALL. She first off kept asking to cut my nails when I specifically told her I just wanted the amount taken off that grew out and when she put my 3 nails on they were crooked and lumpy and super thick! I asked her multiple times to make them look more similar to the rest of my nails and she made the 3 of them round when the rest of my nails are square. I then had to ask her for the nail file and filed my own nails for a good 5-10 minutes until I fixed them as much as I could. When she applied the nail polish it was again lumpy and obviously expired. My nails are the worst they have ever looked and are streaky and crooked thanks to sassy nails. 10/10 would...
