UNFAIR HOLDING PRACTICES: I was prepared to purchase a armoire dresser. While looking around for assistance I kept an eye on a representative who was on the phone a few feet away. Once he became available, I approached him about the dresser. The person he was speaking with was a customer from the previous day who asked for a hold for the very same armoire dresser. Fortunate for the person on the phone the rep placed the hold. Apparently there is a one-hour hold courtesy made to "anyone" who ask for it regardless of being physically present or not. The dresser would be made available again in one hour. I didn't want to create a fuss so I continued on with my shopping. I came back one hour later the customer from yesterday did not show up. So lucky me the armoire is mine. So I thought. As the representative was writing up my ticket the customer from yesterday arrived. I suppose the rep felt obligated to stop writing my ticket in favor for the other customer. Technically, the dresser should have been sold to me. The hold should have been void as soon as the ink hit the pad for my ticket. I left wondering if such a hold policy would be honored for everyone or what would happen if roles were reversed. The reality of the situation made me nauseous. -------- I shared my experience with Liberty Ministries Thrift, via private FB msg. Communication was viewed but not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBe Warned, appearantly, people that work/volunteer there get the first dip. Left overs sold to customers. I regularly donate and shop here because prices are affordable compared to some other thrift stores. In a couple of occasions, I saw workers/volunteers taking couple stuff for themselves. It happened as I was inspecting it after requesting to take a look. I was fine with that because they deserve some moral boost, and i am not against them having few things. But, what really concerned me is that I saw one of them going out of store with huge bag full of items. Didn't pay attention back then, but then I saw the same person selling thousands of valuable antiques and collectibles on Facebook, ebay and Mercari, because they had the same item and same pictures posted in all 3 platforms. Valuable donated stuffs are not sold in the store. Usually, stores prohibit this kind of action because good merchandise brings more customers. I won't be donating to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI loved this thrift store up until about 20 min ago when I noticed this person with a tan jacket and black tights... short curly hair following me the hell around. I am in this store all the time and I have never had someone tailing me like this and so freaking blatantly!! I am extremely insulted and very much annoyed. Even as I'm writing this she is standing 8 feet away from me. Just standing there..being rude as a person can be!! I will not be returning to this store. It's a freaking thrift store...who the hell steals from a thrift store?? And if someone is maybe it's because they are in need!! I mean all of their merchandise is donated...it costs them nothing!! But they want to follow me around like I'm a thief. I will be calling their main office!!! And she is still standing there even after writing this lengthy "review"
UPDATE:: AS I WAS DRIVING OFF THIS PERSON CAME OUTSIDE THE STORE AND TOOK A PHOTO OF ME IN MY VEHICLE...
