The customer service at this location is a joke. My husband and I drove an hour to get a sliding glass door from Home Depot in Lufkin. We have a Loweās in our town, but in the past Home Depot has been a better place to shop. Perhaps thatās still true at other locations, but not Lufkin. Collin was the rudest employee Iāve ever had to encounter at any establishment. He was sent to help us by another employee (Ellis- awesome guy!). When Collin came over to the door area we were waiting at, we didnāt say a word to us. After looking around for several minutes, he snarked and asked what we wanted. I told him we wanted the left handed door. He looked around again found a left handed door on the opposite aisle. It was a black exterior door, and we wanted white; it was at the very top. When Collin realized he was going to have to get equipment to get the door down, he rudely sighed and said with an attitude, āit will be a while before I can get it downā. I politely asked him about how long, and he responded with, ā30 minutes, if not longer than thatā. Collinās attitude was horrific. We were clearly an inconvenience to him. We proceed to customer service to ask for a manager, and while telling the employees why we needed to see a manager they made the statement it mustāve have been Collin that helped us, because heās awful and always like that. Johnathan, the manager, was no better than Collin. He didnāt introduce himself to us when approaching us. He walked up to us and just looked at us. I had to ask him if he was the manager and then I introduced myself. I told him the problem and he couldnāt have cared less. He, with a smart tone, asked if he need to get us a door or what. I told him we would be getting it elsewhere. He didnāt care about that either. He just ok have a great day. This location is an absolute joke and needs a complete replacement...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will not come back to this home depot! I was here over an hour trying to get 2 metal landscaping edges, 3 bags of concrete, and a paint roller. The metal landscape edging was up high on a shelf and needed the fork lift. A gentleman that doesn't even work in the garden center was trying to help me and asked the fork lift guy to come right back after he delivered something to a customer so he could get the crate of what i needed down. 45 minutes later, he still hadn't shown up. So the guy gets on a fork lift and does it himself. Then, all of a sudden, there are 3 other employees miraculously there, and the lady starts getting on to him. At least he was willing to help and understands some customer service! I then loaded 3 80 pound bags of concrete in my cart myself because there is no one around to help. When checking out. The lady made a comment about how long I had been on the store because she saw me walk in, which was well over an hour. There were 4 guys (one on a forklift and the others standing around watching him) loading stuff for a customer while I loaded the 3- 80 pound bags of concrete in my car. Thanks for the help gentleman š I don't know if the guy helping me was fired or what but he was walking out when I was loading concrete and told the guys that were standing around watching that he was going home. If he was fired, that is stupidity at its finest! Why would you fire someone for helping your customers? We will be taking our business to Lowe's from now on. We had no trouble getting plenty of help loading 15 bags of concrete at Lowe's last night. They happened to be 2 short on the metal edging we needed, which is the only reason I was at Home Depot today. We don't have issues like this at Home Depot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to home depot with cash in hand to buy the husky 20 drawer tool chest combo, online inventory showed 5 units in stock. I got there around 8:15 or so in the am and had a associate assist me in retrieving the tool box. He pulled his hand scanner out and notified me that the floor model was the only unit they had, i told him it said they had 5 in inventory according to there online count he assured me without even going to check to see if there was anymore in back, that it was the only one. I then stated ok i guess ill just have to take this one, he said ok so we started checking to make sure all the hardware and keys were in the box only to find there were no keys, so at this point i asked if they could contact husky and get them to send keys, he said lets take it to the front and figure it out i said ok. Noticing the scuffs and normal wear and tear of it being a floor model while we were walking up front i asked can i get a 10% discount on it. They stated they couldnt do that, Once making it to the service desk the guy there stated it wasnt his job to call husky or deal with the issue and i would have to call husky myself to get the keys. At this point im irritated and walk out. I then call the manager at lunch to see if they could do anything he took my info said he would call me right back he was going to see when another shipment would be in. I waited for a bit and never got a call back.........i wont deal with home depot ever again ill find another hardware store or lowes.......btw that very same day i spent my money with sears they were more than happy to take care of a...
