Food is a solid 4.5 out of 10 due to the fact of the concept wasn't thought out enough , on paper it seems like a great idea to pick and choose your bowl , but what ends up happening when you don't know what you are choosing is either under seasoned or over seasoned food that is to strong in taste to really injoy.
I personally cook so I was able to choose the right amount I believed to be a decent amount and was able to enjoy my meal on the other hand my friend was not so fortunate and the food was way over seasoned and it wasnt the restaurants fault it was my friends fault cause they just cook what you give them.
Service was very good in terms of hospitality , employees helped where poeple didn't understand cause their concept /set up is a bit odd/weird .
I did notice that you pay first which does make it kinda inconvenient to tip for services... most people tip after dining which makes it kinda hard to tip unless you have been here before and you know what your getting or unless you have cash to tip after you eat.
The salad was very good if you are to scared to try your pick at rice and meats or noodles and meats with sauce due to not being able to measure out the correct amount of sauce for cooking. Just remember you can't mess up a salad!
Also the boba was a good 5.5 out of 10 flavor wasn't the top of the line but the boba/tapioca pearls was good I recommend it at this location for a quick drink.
Salad and boba at this location is what I would...

I've never had an issue with my food being greasy or too salty. On the Mongolian grill you control your seasoning. I guess since I like to cook at home, I know how much sauce is needed for a single dish. Maybe the sauce bowls provided should be smaller to discourage over seasoning food. Or items like soy sauce and salt taken off seasoning area. They have some interesting custom boba drinks that are fun to try. Biscoff Milk Tea and Strawberry Peanut Butter are my two favorite. They usually have some good music playing, not your usual top 40 or country, which is a bonus for around here. Lia's Kitchen is the same owners and has some of the same staff, so I can understand why they have doubled up on menus and T-shirts between the two stores. Overall, I'm totally glad for this option in the Lufkin area. I really don't get the upset over the price. $14.99 for a plate is about average at any place that has steak or shrimp as an option. And I always get 2 meals out of my grill. Either people aren't making their bowl well or they only eat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter checking the hours of operation, Sunday open until 9 pm, I placed a $ 40 order at 1:30 pm in the afternoon. The order was received at this time, and would be delivered at 2:00 pm.My credit card was charged and approved. After calling and calling at 2:15 to see where my order was, no one was answering. I called their credit card user and I was told that the order had been placed at 1:31 pm, the credit card had been applied, but the owner chose to close the restaurant at 1:34, and ignored my order. They had my name, address, and phone # , and my e-mail address, and could have easily called me to let me know they were closing, or better yet, not taken my order on line. Hopefully I will get a credit card credit for the $ 40. What a sloppy way to do business. If your page says you will be open till 9 pm, then stay open til 9 pm or change the information...
