If you are looking for a place to host a professional or personal event, this is your place. To start their parking lot is accessible and hold many cars. They also have an elevator for those who need it. The facility itself is very clean and smells great. The bathrooms are accessible, and there is plenty of stalls for all your guest. The one caveat to booking at this facility is that they have predetermined contracts with a handful of catering companies meaning you cannot bring your outside food or beverages. But their choices are affordable, and the quantity and quality of the food is amazing. Out of the listing I would say crave and ladyfingers are the top choices. They’ve always been a hit at most events. What I can appreciate about booking at this facility is that they offer AV assistance and they always have someone on staff in person at your event regardless of the time. The staff is helpful, kind and attentive. They made sure all our needs were met during the event. This facility is nothing short of having it all, and making sure your event is a breeze. We had our 2022 University of Louisville Dept. of Neurology Graduation Ceremony at the UofL ShelbyHurst Event & Conference Center- 218 A/B Ballroom in June 2022. This was our first time holding an event here and it was wonderful! The location is beautiful; easy parking; great IT capabilities; wonderful event coordinators; good catering options (we chose LadyFingers Catering); and room rental discount to UofL employees, departments & alumni! In August 2016, I had a member of my staff retire. I hosted a luncheon for her at Burhans Hall at UofL's Shelby Campus. The room was large enough to easily accommodate 30 tables with 8 seats each. The buildings are showing their age, but they're clean and large, with easy parking and access. We had UofL cater the lunch and the food was delivered on time and of good quality.
